LinkedIn Ranks the Top 25 Companies to Grow Career in Media

Podcaster Joe Rogan criticized those who labeled him as conservative and went after Republicans who would like to do away with gay marriage during Saturday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.” In an interview with his guest, comedian Andrew Schulz, the conversation turned to politics and the numerous Republicans, including Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who have expressed the legalization of gay marriage was “clearly wrong.” “It’s not just abortion rights, but now they’re going after gay marriage too, which is so strange to me,” Rogan told Schulz. “Gay marriage is not silly. It’s marriage — it’s marriage from people that are homosexual, and it’s for them. It’s important. They want it.” Rogan continued by detailing that the Republican politicians looking to remove gay marriage are attempting to fight Americans and are removing freedoms. “They want to affirm their love and their relationship. And the fact that they’re going after that now almost makes me feel like they want us to fight. They wanna divide us in the best way they can,” Rogan said. “And this is the best way for them to keep pulling off all the bull—t they’re doing behind the scenes is to get us to fight over…

LinkedIn co-founder pours money into Ohio races – WKYC

The contributions from Reid Hoffman make him the second most prolific individual donor in state politics this year. COLUMBUS, Ohio — Editor's note: This story was originally published by the Ohio Capital Journal. The co-founder of LinkedIn, a Silicon Valley-based professional networking website, poured more than $82,000 into Ohio’s statewide and legislative races this year, campaign finance records show. The contributions from Reid Hoffman — a venture capitalist who was also an early executive of PayPal — make him the second most prolific individual donor in state politics this year, according to an analysis of state campaign finance records. He trails only Virginia Ragan, an heir to hundreds of millions in shares of a Delaware County shipping and manufacturing company who has given millions over the years to Ohio Republicans. Since 2016, Hoffman has pumped at least $200,000 directly into Ohio politics, mostly backing Democrats. This doesn’t include his $500,000 to a PAC that spent at least $150,000 in a Cleveland-area Democratic congressional primary. However, in February he gave $13,700 — the legal maximum — apiece to Gov. Mike DeWine and Secretary of State Frank LaRose, both of whom are Republicans. Hoffman gave the same amount to four Democrats running…
