LinkedIn Is the New Stage – and Gen Z Is Stealing the Spotlight – openPR.com

UK/US-based brand consultant Nancy Ampaw unpacks why professional branding is Gen Z's smartest currency in 2025 and beyond London, UK - August 25, 2025 - LinkedIn is no longer just a static job board. In 2025, it has become a strategic platform where Gen Z professionals actively shape their careers. As layoffs persist across industries and automated hiring systems filter out qualified applicants, younger workers are turning to LinkedIn to remain visible, relevant, and competitive in a changing job market. In February 2025, LinkedIn recorded 1.77 billion monthly visits. An estimated 56 percent of that traffic came from users aged 25 to 34. As the user base has shifted, so has the platform's tone and function. Today, it features more than job updates, offering marketing commentary, industry analysis, career transitions, and personal reflections from professionals navigating uncertainty. Many candidates are overlooked by applicant tracking systems or receive no response at all. Gen Z professionals, already fluent in digital expression, are adapting by using LinkedIn as a space to demonstrate expertise while building credibility and sharing perspectives through consistent public engagement. A recent study from Morning Consult found that

It’s the guidance of colleagues and mentors that helps people make confident decisions.”  The release said that professionals were still largely relying on real people for important decisions. Tools tools “like ChatGPT or Copilot” were “increasingly used for insights and to bolster productivity, they haven’t replaced human judgment.” (Microsoft is an investor in ChatGPT, and owns

Here’s what it taught me about leadership:”, garnered over 8,000 reactions, solidifying her position as the most insufferable person you know. Speaking to Critical Tribune, Sarah, her flatmate, said, “We hadn’t even finished eating; we were sitting down watching Netflix and were going to do the dishes after.”  Sora declined to comment on the matter to Critical Tribune, instead directing us to a more recent LinkedIn post. “Your ambitions are allowed to change. Business Insider – tech #burnout #careerchange – LinkedIn

Business Insider’s Post When Annie Lu got hired at Atlassian as a product marketing manager in late 2022, it was a dream come true. For the first few months, she was working on projects that leveraged her interests and skill set. She also loved the culture, the hybrid work schedule, and her colleagues. After a while, Lu noticed Atlassian following the growing trend in Big Tech of increasing structural reorganizations, layoffs, and cost cuts. As priorities shifted, she slowly stopped being assigned to projects that felt impactful, creative, and aligned with her skillset. In early 2025, she hit a wall when she felt her body shutting down. Lu took a 12-week medical leave to recover, but it only made things clearer. When she returned, she quit, and it was one of the hardest decisions she’s ever made.
