LinkedIn Updates Thought Leader Ads to Sponsor User Event Posts – WebProNews

In the evolving world of professional networking, LinkedIn has introduced a significant update to its advertising toolkit, allowing brands to sponsor user-generated posts that promote events. This expansion of Thought Leader Ads enables companies to amplify organic content from any LinkedIn member, provided it links to a LinkedIn Event, thereby extending reach and engagement without the need for creating new ad creatives from scratch. This move comes at a time when virtual and hybrid events are central to B2B marketing strategies, offering brands a way to tap into authentic endorsements. By sponsoring these posts, advertisers can drive higher attendance and buzz around webinars, conferences, or networking sessions, leveraging the credibility of individual users rather than corporate voices alone. Expanding Reach Through User Advocacy The mechanics are straightforward: brands search for relevant posts mentioning their events, request permission from the poster, and then promote them via LinkedIn’s ad platform. This not only boosts visibility but also aligns with LinkedIn’s emphasis on thought leadership, where genuine user experiences can resonate more deeply with audiences. According to a report from WeRSM, this feature is designed to give brands “another way to boost event visibility,” highlighting its potential for increasing registrations and interactions. Industry

LinkedIn’s Evolving Advertising Toolkit In the competitive realm of professional networking, LinkedIn has introduced a significant enhancement to its advertising capabilities, allowing brands to sponsor user-generated posts that link directly to events. This move, announced recently, builds on the platform’s Thought Leader Ads, which were first launched to amplify authentic voices within organizations. According to a report from Search Engine Land, this expansion enables advertisers to request permission from members to promote their event-related content, thereby extending reach and fostering genuine engagement. The mechanics are straightforward yet powerful: companies can search for posts by employees or other members that reference a LinkedIn Event and, with approval, turn them into sponsored ads. This not only boosts visibility for upcoming webinars, conferences, or virtual meetups but also leverages the credibility of individual creators. As detailed in LinkedIn’s own marketing solutions page, Thought Leader Ads have traditionally focused on sponsoring organic posts to build brand equity, and this event-centric twist aligns with growing demands for personalized marketing in B2B spaces. LinkedIn Expands Access to AI-Assisted Job Summaries – Social Media Today

LinkedIn’s expanding access to its AI-generated job summaries option for recruiters, which helps prospective employers ensure that the relevant key terms and skills are noted in your job ads, better aligning them with LinkedIn’s recommendation systems. The option has been available in some regions for a while, while LinkedIn has also been developing its listings within its Recruiter platform to improve their accuracy. And now, more LinkedIn Company Page managers in more regions will be able to use its AI assistance for their job listings. As explained by LinkedIn, its AI-generated job summaries are currently available “for a subset of LinkedIn members using LinkedIn job posts in the U.S., India, U.K., Canada, and Australia.” Originally, the option was only available in the U.S. and Canada, but now, more regions are gaining access, providing expanded AI assistance in the job listing process. And the expansion into India is significant, because India is now LinkedIn’s third-biggest user market, behind the U.S. and Europe. The platform has seen rapid growth in India, and as such, it’s now becoming a bigger focus for the platform, as it builds new tools and innovations. Which, for LinkedIn, at least for the moment, means more and more

The Last Word: Dreamers of Day CTO On Small Website Misses That Lead to Big Problems

“The web is fragile.” Mark Atli Co-Founder and Technology Director Dreamers of Day .… on why tiny website problems can crush traffic and cause major headaches—and how to avoid them, via LinkedIn. “Small misses can lead to big problems,” Mark Atli writes. He’s seen the carnage firsthand. The co-founder and tech director at Dallas digital product agency Dreamers of Day recently took to LinkedIn to share a highlight reel of site snafus that make a CMO or CEO break out in a cold sweat. A staging site’s NOINDEX tag left on after launch? That crushed SEO and traffic for over a month. Cookie banners that say they reject cookies but actually don’t? Hello, GDPR violations. Wrong canonical tags confusing Google. Broken redirect rules creating infinite loops. Accessibility scores tanking after marketing teams made seemingly innocent CMS edits—with no alerts to warn anyone. A pretty website isn’t enough. Technical missteps can torpedo revenue, trigger legal issues, and tank your brand’s visibility faster than you can say “404 error.” Atli’s advice, especially if your organization manages its site in-house, or if your agency only handles maintenance and reactive tasks: Build layered checks. Automate what you can. Create regular cadence-based

LinkedIn Adds New Animations for Professional Announcements – Social Media Today

Your announcements on LinkedIn are getting a refesh, with LinkedIn today launching an updated set of achievement animations and images, which will provide a fresh look to these posts in-stream. As you’re no doubt aware, LinkedIn has a series of in-built GIFs and image templates to go along with various professional achievements and announcements, including that sun one, those planes, the cupcake, etc. Though LinkedIn’s used the exact same animations for a long time, and they’ve pretty much lost their appeal or resonance. In fact, LinkedIn retired several of them late last year, but now, it’s rolling out some updated graphics to help make your professional updates stand out. As explained by LinkedIn’s Head of Design Sarah Alpern: “ Starting today, you’ll begin to see 16 new celebration animations to choose from whenever you go to post about a new job, project, milestone, or anniversary, giving you options that match your personal style and message. The way you post will stay mostly the same, but these new visuals will help your story shine even brighter. ” As you can see in the above example, LinkedIn has a range of new animations for your professional announcements, all of which are animated

NAU in the Alps

Pablo Picasso once said that painting is just another way of keeping a diary, since art documents the life and experience of the artist. But art also reflects the social forces around it, such as the cultural and political atmosphere of the period it was created in, as well as the religion, nationality, class, gender and interpersonal connections of its creator.    Eagle Nest, Germany This summer, armed with sketchbooks, theories and a healthy dose of curiosity, 19 NAU   students traveled across the Alpine region to decode the invisible forces that have shaped art in this area for centuries. Led by Jessie Finch , chair of the Department of Sociology, and Neal Galloway , associate director of the School of Art and Design, the Sociology of Visual Art and Culture class took a two-week journey across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France.   “There is a complex web of social systems and conventions that both construct and constrain the world of art that we experience,” Finch said. “This class helps students recognize and understand the structures that underlie the world of art and visual culture with a focus on the art and culture of The Alps region in Europe.”   The
