Arkansas expects millions from Meta settlement – KTLO

Arkansas is on track to receive at least $172 million in a landmark multistate settlement over online child safety. But the state’s other cases against social media platforms are still winding through the courts. Attorney General Tim Griffin and Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders have been pushing for more scrutiny on social media firms through lawsuits and legislation. The Republicans hailed the settlement with the parent company of Facebook and Instagram as a win for that effort. Meta’s $17.1 billion settlement with 51 attorneys general requires the company to enact new safety measures. The agreement requires court approval. Here’s a look at where the state’s other cases involving social media stand: TikTok Griffin in 2023 filed lawsuits against TikTok in Cleburne and Union counties, accusing the social media platform of misleading parents about the availability of mature content. The lawsuits accused TikTok of violating the state’s Deceptive Trade Practices Act. TikTok argued that the lawsuit was barred by Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act, which protects Internet companies from being sued because of users’ posts. But a Cleburne County judge rejected TikTok’s motion to dismiss the case, and a trial is scheduled in March 2027. The Union County

Electrifying.com hits 250,000 YouTube subscribers

Six years ago, I sat down to write the very first words for Electrifying.com. I’d spent more than a year dreaming it up: a site where video would lead the charge, powered by a team of true EV experts, with more women in the mix and fresh voices behind the wheel. Most of all, I wanted it to feel different. This was never meant to be just another car site - it was built to spark change. When we launched, electric cars were still a mystery to many and your questions came thick and fast. What’s a kilowatt-hour? Isn’t AC/DC a bunch of ageing Aussie rockers? Our mission was simple: to make all of our information - on the website and our  YouTube channel  - informative, friendly and fun. ADVERTISEMENT Six years and an incredible 250,000 YouTube subscribers later, that same spirit still drives us. We’ve filmed videos in studios, storms and snow. We’ve filmed in cars so small that we could barely fit the cameras in. We’ve driven everything from the gloriously silly Citroën Ami, to sensible family runarounds, and insanely fast sports cars that make leave you sweaty palmed and grinning.  With over 70 million views and 5.7

How To Sideload Apps Onto Android Auto – Engadget

You can unlock video streaming on your dashboard, but should you? Gabriel Nica/Shutterstock Android Auto was built to make your driving sessions simple and easy, but not everyone wants simple. If you've ever wished you could stream YouTube through your dashboard or mirror your phone's screen to your car display, you're not alone. Luckily, there's a way to do it. Sideloading lets you install apps that Google never approved for Android Auto, opening the door to features the platform doesn't officially support right now. The process doesn't require any crazy moves like rooting your phone, but it does come with trade-offs regarding security, reliability and safety. By design, Google restricts what can run on your dashboard to cut down on driver distraction, which means no YouTube videos, no browser and no screen mirroring. It's a sensible policy, but one that leaves plenty of drivers feeling like their car's display is capable of a lot more than it's being allowed to do. How do you sideload apps onto Android Auto? The whole process of sideloading apps on Android Auto is not that complicated, but you do need to go through a few steps to set things up. First, you'll need to

Dodgers Activate Bobby Miller From 60-Day IL, Designate Alek Thomas

The Dodgers announced that Bobby Miller has been activated from the 60-day injured list.  In corresponding moves for the 28-man and 40-man rosters, right-hander Kyle Hurt was optioned to Triple-A and outfielder Alek Thomas was designated for assignment.  The California Post’s Jack Harris was among the reporters yesterday who noted that Miller had a locker in the Dodgers’ clubhouse, hinting that the right-hander was close to a return. Miller’s first appearance will mark his 2026 debut, and his third game in the big leagues since Opening Day 2024.  Once one of the more highly-touted pitching prospects in baseball, Miller posted a 3.76 ERA over 22 starts and 124 1/3 innings in his rookie season, but he battled shoulder problems in 2024 while struggling to an 8.52 ERA in 56 innings (13 starts). The 2025 campaign saw Miller log just five innings of 12.60 ERA ball in the majors.  Things continued to go off the rails as Miller posted a 5.66 ERA and an ugly 14.9% walk rate, plus a so-so 20.3% strikeout rate.   » Read More

Game Review: ‘Blood of Dawnwalker’ – HorrorFuel.com

For a while, I’ve been hyping up Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco’s Vampire RPG,  The Blood of Dawnwalker . It also seemed that a lot of people were looking forward to the game’s release, as the devs kept teasing what was awaiting players. Was the hype worth it? The Blood of Dawnwalker takes place in a fictional region of the Carpathian Mountains that was saved from the plague by the Vakhiri, a race of vampires, who in turn close off the region, take control, and demand tribute. After two years of their rule, an attempt is made to overthrow the Vakhiri, and Coen, our protagonist, is attempted to be turned into a Vakhiri but becomes something that even the Vakhiri fear… a Dawnwalker, half-human, half-vampire. Now, onto the game itself! When it comes to the controls for The Blood of Dawnwalker , be prepared to take some time to learn, as they’re a bit different from what you’re more than likely used to, BUT they are learnable! The game’s art is good; what really stood out for me was the lighting engine! The Day/Night cycles look amazing, along with changes to the world if you’re using torches to light your
