Vimeo stock reflects cash merger exit as layoffs continue after acquisition – ad-hoc-news.de

Vimeo stock (ISIN US92719V1008) left public markets following a cash merger completed in late 2025, yet the underlying Vimeo business remains under scrutiny as restructuring and layoffs continue under its new ownership as of September 5, 2026. Cash merger closed at 7.85 dollars per share According to a corporate actions tracker from a major retail brokerage, Vimeo stock was removed from customer accounts after the company was taken private via a cash merger at 7.85 dollars per share on November 25, 2025. The tracker notes that existing shareholders received 7.85 dollars in cash for each VMEO share at the closing of the transaction, marking the effective exit price from the public market and ending NASDAQ trading in the stock. For investors who held VMEO through that date, the 7.85 dollars cash consideration represented the final settlement value in the merger. While the precise premium versus the last unaffected trading price is not detailed in the tracker snippet, the fixed cash amount is the key figure that defined the deal economics for public shareholders at closing in November 2025. Post-acquisition layoffs reshape Vimeo under new owner After the cash merger, Vimeo was acquired by technology firm Bending Spoons, and the business

14-year-old accused in Volusia school shooting threats, sheriff’s office says – WESH

14-year-old accused in Volusia school shooting threats, sheriff's office says HOLLY HILL, Fla. — A 14-year-old boy was taken into custody Friday at his home in Holly Hill after allegedly making shooting threats naming two high schools, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said on social media that its Domestic Security Unit and School Resource Unit worked with the Daytona Beach Police Department to investigate the alleged threats, which were made on Snapchat and claimed that shootings would occur at Seabreeze and Mainland high schools. Volusia County detectives helped Daytona Beach police work with Snapchat and Apple to identify the source of the posts as a 14-year-old Mainland High School student who had been suspended from school a day prior "for making threatening statements on campus," according to the sheriff's office. Deputies contacted the boy, took him into custody, and turned him over to Daytona Beach police to face two counts of making written threats to kill, as well as unlawful use of a two-way communication device, the post states.

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. It’s 2026, which means all-day comfort and stylish looks no longer have to be mutually exclusive concepts in the realm of footwear. But while the most comfortable shoes for women — a category our editors feel extremely passionate about — focus on macro-level wearability, the best shoes for wide feet hone in on a specific podiatric condition experienced by millions of women worldwide. Wide feet stem from an inherited bone structure marked by a horizontal measurement at the ball of the foot that’s larger than standard. They’re way more common than you think, though this doesn’t necessarily translate to the afflicted female population shopping for, and wearing, wider-width shoes that actually fit the way they’re supposed to. Best Women’s Shoes for Wide Feet 2026 If you’ve long felt constrained by your sneakers, loafers, boots, and other footwear types, be it because of naturally wider-than-average feet or a flat-footedness that causes them to splay outward with every step, you’re overdue for an upgrade… and might even be entitled to compensation! All jokes aside, women’s shoes created with wide feet in mind will

NEW VIDEO: Armed 71-year-old woman fires gun at Port Orange Police Department

Local News PORT ORANGE, Fla. – A 71-year-old woman was shot on Thursday morning after firing a gun inside the lobby of the Port Orange Police Department, police announced. Roughly a day later, investigators have confirmed that she has died. WHAT HAPPENED? The incident began around 8:30 a.m. at the department’s headquarters at 4545 Clyde Morris Blvd., when the woman — identified as Linda Jean Croteau — entered the main lobby, where the department’s records section is located. Police said she fired one shot toward civilian staff before leaving the lobby, where responding officers confronted her. She was still holding the firearm when officers opened fire, Chief Manny Marino said in a news conference Thursday. “I don’t know if she saw an employee and that’s what she was aiming at. That will be part of this investigation, as well,” Marino said. Three officers were involved in the shooting. None was injured, and no civilian staff members were hurt, Marino said. UPDATED DETAILS On Friday, police issued an update, confirming that Croteau had passed away. “Our thoughts are with our officers, employees, Ms. Croteau’s family, and everyone else affected by the shooting,”
