Indian professionals are confident about career progress despite growing uncertainties about the job market and financial future in the current environment, says the latest LinkedIn Workforce Confidence Index. Based on the survey responses of 1,752 professionals, findings from January 1-29 reveal that 80% professionals are confident about skilling opportunities, while 79% are confident about the strength of their CVs. However, the latest edition of the Workforce Confidence Index shows a dip in India’s overall confidence, as the composite score dropped from +58 in December 2020 to +54 in January 2021. The survey attributes this dip in optimism to the workforce’s growing concerns about the status of the pandemic, mounting expenses, and job availability in the present economic climate. This professional uncertainty comes right after the year-end holiday season, when India’s hiring rate dropped to 17% year-over-year in December 2020. Many of us dream of posting the ultimate Instagram picture. You know, the one that racks up likes in seconds. Recently, I met up with pro photographer Jefferson Graham to find out how to do it. “Eighty percent of the stuff you want to do, you can do on a smartphone right now,” said Graham, who spent over 20 years a tech columnist for USA Today. The book was written by co-authors Irin Carmon and Shana Knizhnik. Knizhnik explains to 3News that the hype around the late Justice all started with a Tumblr blog that she began in the early 2000s. She was a second-year law student at the time, beginning to research Justice Ginburg's work. "As I started the Tumblr, I was both collecting light-hearted, pop-cultural memes about her, and celebrating her amazing fashion and the visual imagery she embodied," says Knizhnik. (WESH) - A 13-year-old Florida girl is now safe after a sheriff’s deputy spent hours tracking down the man who allegedly took her to a motel for sex.Deputy Royce James spent hours, with limited information, tracking down 22-year-old Tyler Thompson. The suspect was allegedly in the company of a missing 13-year-old girl from Oak Hill, Florida, who investigators say met Thompson on Snapchat.After the teenager was reported missing Thursday by her grandmother, James began investigating. A friend of the victim told him she was supposed to be picked up at a Dollar General by the suspect, whose name was reported to begin with a T, possibly Tyler, and was said to be from Orlando.Tyler Thompson, 22, was taken into custody on charges of interference with child custody and traveling to meet after using a computer to lure a child. Bengaluru: Snap Inc. plans to extend its India localisation strategy so as to grow its base in several other countries, Chief Financial Officer Derek Andersen said at the company's first-ever investor day. After ignoring the country in its early years, the social media company is doubling down on the Indian market by rolling out localised versions of its offerings. This includes rebuilding of Snapchat's Android app with support for nine Indian languages and an India-specific version of its content discovery platform Discover that now has over 85 local channels. In October 2020, it announced its first slate of mobile-first licensed and original shows for the Indian market along with its first gaming partner in the country. To be sure, India was one of the first markets where Snap Inc. made investments to localise its product, including building local augmented-reality creator communities, adding local content, and investing in local marketing initiatives.
