Penn State 39, Michigan State 24: What Twitter Had To Say

Saturday was senior day at Beaver Stadium. While it did not feature the norm celebrations a senior day holds, it did not make it any less of a special day for the Nittany Lion seniors. Especially with the team picking up a 39-24 victory over Michigan State. The 2020 group of seniors included a pair of redshirt senior defensive linemen — Shane Simmons and Antonio Shelton — who had strong showings. For both Simmons and Shelton, their strong games began on the game’s opening drive when Simmons for his first sack and Shelton is first tackle for a loss. Mario Judah/Instagram Published on: Dec 12, 2020, 1:08 PM Mario Judah issued an ultimatium to Playboi Carti over the release of Carti’s Whole Lotta Red album and when the “Magnolia” rapper failed to deliver, Judah decided to release his own Whole Lotta Red. Led by the viral star’s new single “Bih Yah,” the four-track “tribute” to Carti features Judah songs such as “Luv My Slatts,” “Bean & Lean” and “Figi Freestyle.” The entire project finds Judah doing his best Carti impersonation after pleading like many diehard fans for the release of the Georgia rapper’s long-awaited third album Whole Lotta Red. Listen to Judah’s version of WLR below. “Before I blew up, I was one of the fans in his comments section,” Judah told Complex about his connection to Carti. “I was like, “Bro, drop Whole Lotta Red! Drop Whole Lotta Red!” And I used to always think, “What could possibly be done to get this man to drop his album?” He added, “Everything I’m doing now is just trying to get this man to drop this album. I honestly don’t know what people might think about what I’m doing. But everybody has been glad that I’ve been doing it, because…

Youtube TV subscribers are being surprised with a free Chromecast with Google TV for their loyalty

You are here: Home / Chromecast / Youtube TV subscribers are being surprised with a free Chromecast with Google TV for their loyalty December 12, 2020 By Michael Perrigo Leave a Comment Youtube TV is well aware that it’s becoming increasingly difficult to buy in to a full subscription package thanks to the pandemic and their continuous content partnership fallouts like that of Tennis TV and Fox Sports Networks. Even though it’s not their fault that some deals simply can’t be negotiated in a way that benefits users, it’s nice to see that they’re doing what they can to show how much they appreciate subscribers despite the fac. Long time subscribers are now receiving an email containing an offer for a free Chromecast with Google TV in the color snow. A few weeks ago, they gave everyone free access to HBO Max and Cinemax for a full week and even a free trial to Hallmark Movies Now as the service launched on their platform. There is no specific rhyme or reason to who is receiving these emails or in what order aside from the prerequisite of being a long time subscriber. However long Google defines that as is not mentioned.…

Cynthia Johnson Several Michigan legislators and groups are speaking out in support of state Representative Cynthia Johnson, who has been criticized and disciplined this week for a video she shared to social media after receiving death threats.Rep. Be in order, make them pay.”Though Rep. Johnson says she was not inciting violence with her message, Republican Michigan leaders and lawmakers whole heartedly disagreed. Facebook oversight board says it 'won't shy away' from tackling Trump-style disinformation

The independent body set up by Facebook to review decisions to remove content will eventually need to tackle the issue of how to address politicians such as Donald Trump posting disinformation online, the board’s sole Australian member has said. The oversight board is a body set up by Facebook to review select cases where Facebook’s content moderators have removed a post, but the user believes it should not have been removed. The board makes binding decisions for Facebook, meaning a post that was removed could be restored if the board says it should be.“The decision we make isn’t going to just dispose of that particular case in front of us, it’s going to help us to require Facebook to change either its policy or its enforcement processes more generally,” Nic Suzor, the sole Australian member of the oversight board, told Guardian Australia. This month, the 20-member board – made up of academics, lawyers, politicians and journalists from across the world – announced the first six cases it would review over the next 90 days. One of the cases involves a two-year-old post of an alleged quote from Joseph Goebbels, the propaganda minister of Nazi Germany. The post, which spells out the need…

How to Share Tweets to Snapchat Stories

Twitter/Snapchat There was a time when sharing a tweet to Snapchat meant taking a screenshot of the Twitter app and uploading it to Snapchat. Thankfully, that’s no longer necessary. Tweets can be directly shared to Snapchat as stickers for your stories. At this writing, this feature is only available through the Twitter app for iPhone and iPad. When it comes to Android, though, it should work in a similar fashion. RELATED: How to Send Disappearing Tweets Using Fleets on Twitter To get started, open Twitter, find the tweet you want to share, and then tap the share icon under it. In the share menu, tap “Snap Camera.” The first time you use this feature, a pop-up message will inform you Twitter wants to open the Snapchat app; tap “Open” to allow it. The Snapchat Story creation screen will appear with the tweet floating on top as a sticker. Unfortunately, you can’t resize or move the tweet around on this screen. You’ll have to capture a background photo while the Twitter sticker takes up most of your screen. When you’re ready, tap the circular shutter button to capture a snap. You can now resize or move the tweet sticker by pinching…

The most popular way to find a job may be the worst strategy

In 2020, one in four American adults says they or someone in their household lost their job due to the pandemic. Fifteen percent say this happened to them personally. A lucky few have gotten their jobs back, but the rest are left looking for work in a struggling economy. To find a job they love — or even just work that pays the bills — about 75 percent of job seekers will turn to the networking platform LinkedIn. But according to some striking new research, this wildly popular job searching tool may be doing more harm than good.Michael Johnson, an organizational behavior researcher and management expert at Louisiana State University, says even though the majority of job seekers use LinkedIn, little study has been devoted to figuring out how well it works. To fill this research gap, Johnson and his team tracked the LinkedIn job searches of 2,738 people over five weeks. Through surveys, scientists discovered time using LinkedIn hurts people's confidence and leaves them depleted of willpower. In turn, the more they use LinkedIn, the less likely they are to find a job."Searching for a job through LinkedIn can have a potentially detrimental effect on people’s mental health and their ability…
