We have had quite a few people come back to the society. It has been so much more convenient for people Zooming in. It is what has kept me going. "We held auditions online and the cast rehearsed a few more times than usual, focusing on different areas of the script. We had to manage several technology issues that we'd never encounted before."To add to the pressure we recorded the whole play in one session so that it would be as close as possible to our live performances. One thing we did do was read the script, not remember it as we are used to. "During one of our rehearsals my internet dropped off for a couple of minutes during the play which didn't help. Other people's cameras kept switching off."Written by David Spicer, the play introduces six members of the 'world’s worst pub quiz team' - We are Smarticus! - as they prepare for the first round of an…

Video: Bronny James gets put in the friend zone by Instagram model

Updated: November 15, 2020 Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, is starting to become pretty popular. After taking his shot at an Instagram model recently, that same model has now said that the younger James is just a friend. The Sierra Canyon School student is certainly a rising basketball star in his own right, as he has reportedly gotten offers from some prime basketball colleges dating back to when he was just 10 years old. Just days ago, he hit an insane buzzer-beating 3-pointer in a contest against a Nevada high school that seemed somewhat reminiscent of some clutch shots his old man has hit. The elder James has said that he wants to continue playing in the NBA long enough to take the same court as his son for an actual game. The four-time MVP is preparing to suit up for a quick turnaround to the 2020-21 NBA season, which is set to tip off on Dec. 22.

What the Hell Happened: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Streams 'Among Us' on Twitch

“AOC kinda sus.”This statement epitomizes the social, viral, and political milieu currently surrounding Generation Z like no other. When it’s your first time playing the immensely popular video game “Among Us,” let alone your first time assuming the role of the notorious “Imposter,” it’s hard not to be suspect. But U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fared well in her first game before being ejected off a digital spaceship and into internet stardom, marking a rare instance in which a politician harnessed youth platforms and tools to advance a cause without coming across as decidedly “sus.”After tweeting her intention to play “Among Us” to the tune of nearly 400,000 likes Ocasio-Cortez proceeded to set up an account on Twitch, the leading streaming service for video games. The following day, Ocasio-Cortez joined other Twitch stars for several hours to encourage increased voter turnout and, well, have a good time — her electioneering taking the form of banter and finger-pointing in virtual town halls. A typical Tuesday evening for your average United States Representative. Not including the audiences of fellow streamers, Ocasio-Cortez’s stream drew more than 430,000 concurrent viewers and nearly five million total views over the course of three and a half hours. Ocasio-Cortez now lays claim to the fifth-most watched individual stream in Twitch’s history, joining an elite company of streamers on the platform. (Whether the quality of AOC’s discussion rivals that of Ninja’s with Drake is a highly contested topic among political commentators.)A democratic socialist from New York, Ocasio-Cortez has risen to prominence as the voice of a politically-dismayed youth and “the de facto spokeswoman for the historically diverse 2018 midterm class.” The youngest woman ever elected to Congress, Ocasio-Cortez’s departure from the traditional congressional demographic and clashes with older Democrats and Republicans alike have cemented her status as a champion of…

Katya Elise Henry Posts 'Nudes' And Stuns Fans In Most Recent Instagram Update

Katya Elise Henry dropped jaws with her latest Instagram share on Saturday afternoon, in which the curvaceous fitness model flaunted her impressive physique and teased her 7.9 million followers with a suggestive caption combined with an angel emoji. The sultry pair of bathroom selfies showed Katya wearing a bra and panty set that was remarkably close to the shade of her skin, giving the impression at first glance that she was naked. The post racked up just short of 78,000 likes in the first half hour after it was uploaded – including one from rapper Snoop Dogg. In the first photo, Katya faced the mirror over the sink and held her phone in her left hand, balancing it between her outstretched pinkie and forefinger. The phone covered half of her face, and she focused her gaze on the screen to maintain composition. She stood with both her hips and shoulders square and her legs slightly spaced. The overhead light beautifully illuminated the lines of curving lines of her cleavage, and she draped her right palm across her decolletage, just above one of her breasts. In the following image, Katya switched positions and turned her famous booty toward the camera. Katya’s Instagram supporters were thrilled by the post, and flooded her comments section with a bevy of compliments, ranging from sweet to very intense. “My favorite insta model,” one person declared, who followed the words with a trio flame, heart, and heart-eyes symbols. “The Queen of taking bombass pictures in the mirror. The Power Of Social Media During a Pandemic

The Power Of Social Media During a Pandemic, By Elizabeth McMullen The power of social media through a pandemic. Elizabeth McMullen Most people nowadays have a variety of social media apps and profiles installed on their devices. Although they may seem insignificant, now especially, they have acted as a unifier for communities, especially through Lockdown…  From Snapchat to Instagram, selfies to hashtags, these seemingly mundane practices of waking up, checking our phones and scrolling through social media unconsciously connects us to loved ones, celebrities, and even people in the same situations as you. You can enjoy and share your creations with the world and explore what others have been getting up to. Through the pandemic, people have been able to rely on social media to update them on topics such as news and sources of information. Although, the spread of fake news towards the virus itself did increase when cases began to rise in England, and even theorists across the country began prescribing home remedies, preventions, treatments and suggestions as to why COVID-19 happened – some even saying that it was caused by 5G. All those theories, of course are fake news, and have since been debunked by various scientists. Therefore, we must turn to more reliable sources for information, such as the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the NHS. Furthermore, the apparent discovery of a COVID-19 vaccine has the world divided, some protestors going to the lengths of spreading Anti-vaccination rumours through these social media platforms and fuelling uproar in the public. On the other hand, many are overjoyed with the creation of the vaccine – looking toward returning to what we knew as normality.

Man dressed as giant rat takes subway mask requirement to new heights

November 14, 2020 | 6:29pm | Updated November 14, 2020 | 9:58pm So this giant rat walks into a Midtown subway car — and nobody blinks an eye. “Buddy the Rat” — AKA performance artist Jonothon Lyons — has been boring seen-it-all subway riders a lot these days as he perches on seats in all his rodent regalia, including a full-face mask and a long pink tail. But Tiktok loves him. “Oh NYC is dead? Explain this,” self-described comedy writer Alison Williams posted on Twitter over a Tiktok video of the human rodent boarding a No. 1 at 42nd Street that’s going viral. Lyons, who wears a suit and nice shoes, plus gloves on his hands as he crawls, has posted about 30 other Tiktok videos, and appeared in a few filmed by passersby, including one where he scampered across a city street. Lyons works in physical theater and puppetry, including a stint with the Blue Man Group. He said he created Buddy the Rat about 11 years ago, and posted a video on YouTube of a visit to Times Square that got about 70,000 views. Lyons brought Buddy out of retirement last month to tape a short film with director Todd Strauss-Schulson, known for “Isn’t It Romantic” and “A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas.” Their short — which Lyons described as, “Lonely rat finds love and dances the night away” — will debut on Lyons’ Vimeo and YouTube channels on Thanksgiving Day. “Buddy the Rat”Jonothon Lyons / Twitter While they were filming in Washington Square Park, Buddy started getting attention, and some spectators took videos. A post of them filming has now made Buddy social media famous, and Lyons has started taking the character out on the town just for fun. Lyons, a native of Arizona who moved…
