Bam Bewhutang for me is not just about the food, the dance, the beautiful culture or the celebration; It is about our people. It is about coming home, sitting together, sharing, and putting smiles on the faces of one another. This year’s celebration also marks the second edition of my Bewhutang outreach program. It follows the first edition I organised during last year’s festival. It is a tradition I am willing to continue because Bam Bewhutang gives us a special opportunity to reconnect with our people, share in their joy and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us. On Tuesday, I was happy to welcome about 300 of our mothers, widows, aged women and other vulnerable members of our community to my family compound in Ohong Village, Obudu Local Government Area . We shared laughter and celebrated together. I also supported them with cash and food items. But honestly, what touched me most was seeing the happiness on their faces, listening to their songs and receiving their prayers. Our mothers have done so much for us. MOSCOW, Idaho - Vandal soccer's Sunday matchup against South Dakota State was ruled a no contest after persistent weather conditions prevented the teams from continuing play beyond halftime.  The Vandals and Jackrabbits played the full opening 45 minutes before the weather delay. South Dakota State found the lone goal of the half in the 37th minute when Freshman, Stella Braddock, connected on a header off a corner kick from Deizha Lyn Jacinto giving the Jackrabbits a 1-0 advantage.  The two teams entered the halftime break before lightning in the area forced the match into a weather delay. With conditions showing no signs of clearing and delays continuing, the decision was made to suspend the match.  For a suspended contest to be considered official, at least 70 minutes of play must be completed.     Arkansas is on track to receive at least $172 million in a landmark multistate settlement over online child safety. But the state’s other cases against social media platforms are still winding through the courts. Attorney General Tim Griffin and Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders have been pushing for more scrutiny on social media firms through lawsuits and legislation.
