UPDATE: (May 10): A Carroll County District Court judge on Tuesday denied bond for Evan Frock.The 32-year-old former Carroll County substitute teacher and volleyball coach is accused of posing as a teenage boy on Snapchat, where he is accused of soliciting, sending and receiving photos and videos of underage girls. He faces 18 charges.The defense attorney asked the judge to place Frock on electronic monitoring, saying Frock had no criminal record and no allegations exist that he attempted to meet up with or physically touched any minors. But in denying bond, the judge said she clearly believed he has been doing this for a long time. According to a court charging document obtained by the 11 News I-Team, the investigation started on May 2. The FBI and Carroll County sheriff's deputies executed a federal search warrant and raided Frock's Taneytown home on May 9.The court record indicates, "Frock did admit to soliciting and obtaining child pornography from minors ... Frock identified himself as a high school-age male while in fact 32 years old ... GREENFIELD, Wis. — A custodian at Whitnall High School was recently arrested and is facing child pornography charges. Jerome Slack, 39, of West Allis, is accused of sharing videos on popular messaging apps like Snapchat. A criminal complaint outlines 18 charges against Slack. He is facing nine counts of sexual exploitation of a child and nine counts of possession of child pornography. The charges were filed Monday.The case came to light after tips were made to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children of a Snapchat video containing child pornography.Court documents describe the various videos found on his cell phone. The details are graphic and involve children ranging from three-years-old to 18-years-old. Non-profit student exchange organization, International Experience, has it’s eyes on East Texas. Different paths lead different people to host a foreign exchange student. The Holts saw hosting as a test drive for parenthood. “We went to see a movie on Valentine's Day when it opened. And while we were there, we saw an advertisement for hosting a foreign exchange student and we thought, 'hey, what a great way to see if we would be good parents,'” Jonathan Holt said. Over the years, Jonathan and his wife, Patrice hosted four students from Europe. Their Fifth student touches down from Germany in July. Patrice said they’ve already gotten acquainted "I'm like, 'let's get on Snapchat,' and we do a streak. Every day we go back and forth so they can get to know us and we can get to know them. A 'predator' from Tameside abused a girl he had groomed on SnapChat then tried to blame her for his own actions. Thomas Cooper added the girl on the app in December of last year, then later arranged to meet her and engaged in sexual activity with her on two separate occasions. Cooper, of Tame Street in Denton, was arrested in Ashton after the two incidents were discovered by the girl's family. He tried to blame his victim and told officers he had been forced to engage in sexual activity. But police were able to obtain enough evidence to force the 24-year-old to admit two counts of meeting with a child following grooming and two counts of sexual activity with a child. At Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on Wednesday (May 4), Cooper was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison. He was also handed a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and placed on the sex offenders register for the rest of his life.
