Snap has announced the first winning campaign of its Creative Council programme – “Dreamy” created by Ogilvy. The Council, which launched last September in partnership with Creative Equals, features leading Australian creatives and encourages them to use Snapchat to develop creative solutions to pressing societal issues. They do this by nominating small teams in their agencies to respond to a brief. The winning idea is produced and launched on Snapchat.  The winning campaign was created by Jake Ausburn, copywriter and Tom McPhail, art director, a team put together by Ogilvy’s former executive creative director Gavin Mcleod. The team looked at research that showed that while the majority of Australians believe it’s important to know about the history of the First Nations People, only 42 per cent believe they have strong knowledge of that history: a culture belonging to the oldest continuous civilisation in the world. They also saw research that revealed that one in three Australians struggle to fall asleep. A jealous boyfriend has admitted attempting to choke his partner after he discovered she was still in contact with an old flame. Jan Bober, 19, assaulted his long-term girlfriend upon finding a social media message to her ex on her phone while the pair were at a party in the Granite City on September 27, 2020. Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard how friends had to come to the woman’s aid to free her after Bober placed her in a choke hold. He later told his victim he was “going to kill her” as he continued to physically and verbally attack her in the street – resulting in her having to run to a neighbour’s house for help. Friend’s stepped in as woman struggled to breath Fiscal depute Felicity Merson told the court that Bober had become enraged after he noticed a Snapchat message from his partner’s ex-boyfriend. He put his arm around her neck and squeezed her neck by placing the woman in a choke hold. A 22-year-old New South Wales man has been arrested and charged after allegedly uploading child abuse material to Snapchat.An investigation was launched after the US National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children notified the Australian Federal Police about a Google account that was allegedly used to upload child abuse material to Snapchat, Discord and Dropbox.Investigators executed a search warrant at a Weddin Shire home in the NSW Central West on Tuesday.A NSW man has been arrested over alleged child abuse material. MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 26-year-old Rochester man will spend years in prison after pleading guilty Tuesday to producing pornography involving more than 20 young children he lured on social media. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Arkady Pavlovich Pichurin used Snapchat and several texting and messaging services to exploit his victims — who were between the ages of 9 and 10 — while lying about his identity and age. His crimes took place between November of 2020 and January of 2021, yielding sexually explicit photos and videos. The FBI and the Rochester Police Department led the investigation, with help from the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office. Pichurin will be sentenced early next year. Phoenix police arrested 18-year-old Dupree Rollins last month in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred at an apartment complex in July. On July 20, police responded to an emergency call shortly after 4:15 a.m. at an apartment complex near West Glenrosa Avenue and Black Canyon Highway, according to court documents.On the way to the scene, they were told a person had been shot inside the apartment. Officers arrived to find the apartment door closed but unlocked. When officers made their way inside, they found a man with several gunshot wounds in the living room, according to court documents.Ten casings were found on the floor. Phoenix fire personnel pronounced the man dead on scene.The victim was identified as 16-year-old Romeo Perkins by Phoenix police and in the documents. The 911 caller, a woman who was on scene, told police she was inside with Rollins and Perkins when the trio left to go to a convenience store at around 11 p.m. and returned a short time later, according to court documents. Video surveillance confirmed they returned to the apartment.Dupree exited the apartment twice that night, once at 1:15 a.m. and then again shortly before 2:30 a.m. He appeared to be his phone and paced around the pool.At about 4:15 a.m., an unknown man wearing black pants, a black hoodie and black backpack was seen fleeing the…

Breanna Gray was a regular, healthy teen before contracting Covid-19. She died of the disease two weeks later.A US mum has spoken of her deep regret over not insisting her family get vaccinated after her 19-year-old daughter died of Covid.Texan teen Breanna Gray spent two weeks in hospital before her symptoms worsened on the morning of August 19. Just a few hours later, she was dead. The 19-year-old shared her fear on Snapchat after being transferred to the intensive care unit at the hospital, Fox News reported.In one photo shared from her hospital bed, she encouraged her friends to not “take Covid for a joke” because “it real”. In another, she asked friends to pray for her.“I have long road of recovery. Idk when I’ll be ab to even leave ICU so keep praying for me please,” she wrote. Ms Gray was intubated and wearing an oxygen mask in the latter Snapchat, and her face appeared exhausted.Her whole household contracted the virus, with Ms Gray testing positive on July 31 and being admitted to hospital a week later. Greenlee County Courthouse By Jon Johnson jonjohnsonnews@gmail.com CLIFTON – A Clifton man is facing a possible prison term after allegedly admitting to having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.  Erik Bryan Rios, 23, has been charged by the Greenlee County Attorney’s Office with three counts of sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 15. The situation was initially brought to the attention of authorities after the victim’s parents caught her sneaking out of the house and she reportedly admitted to the relationship after being interrogated by her father.  Investigators performed their due diligence in attempting to get evidence to back up the claim and located a locked folder in a Snapchat application on the victim’s phone. The victim gave the password to the police, who then discovered pics and a video.    The Snapchat video shows the victim and Rios in bed at a hotel in Thatcher in October 2020 in which Rios shows off hickeys on his chest while cuddling with the victim. The victim is shown clothed only in a bra and Rios is shirtless while a sheet covers their lower bodies.  When questioned about the video, the victim advised that she and Rios went…
