Twitter's Q4 earnings come as share prices at 7-year high

Twitter’s Q4 earnings are set to be released after US markets close on Tuesday, with its share prices currently at their highest levels since Feb 2014.The stock has proven resilient even in the face of the pandemic and amidst political turbulence, having surged by more than 160% since the March 2020 bear market. From a technical perspective, Twitter looks ripe for a sell-the-news event. After all, its 14-day relative strength index has already broken into overbought territory, which typically suggests that a pullback is in order, and possibly even healthy. The catalyst for such a pullback could arrive when Twitter reveals its Q4 performance, which is set to unveil some strong numbers along the lines of what’s already been seen by other social media platforms such as Facebook and Snapchat for the same period.Twitter’s forecasted Q4 resultsThe company’s top line is expected to come in at $1.19 billion, which is the second time its quarterly revenue has ever exceeded the $1 billion mark (the previous occasion was in Q4 2019). This was likely aided by the boost from the November 2020 US presidential election.Twitter’s Q4 adjusted net income is set to register a year-on-year growth of 20.6 percent to $245 million, although it…

Snapchat The 'Deadpool' actor takes his feud with the 'Wolverine' star to a new level as he uses the latter's headshot as a target during an axe-throwing session. Feb 7, 2021 AceShowbiz - Ryan Reynolds has refuelled his fake feud with Hugh Jackman by hurling axes at his nemesis. The pair of pals has been poking fun at each other ever since they worked together on "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" over a decade ago, often embarrassing each other on social media - and now the "Deadpool" star has taken the spat to dangerous new levels on his web series, "Ryan Doesn't Know". In a new video, Ryan recruits an axe thrower to give him tips and after failing to hit the target with his first few attempts, the actor gave himself a little incentive by pinning a photo of Hugh to the centre of a board. The ploy worked and Reynolds hit the target straight away, calling it "satisfying." On his new series, Reynolds tackles a series of odd sports and pastimes, including ice sculpting and manicuring. Valley Fair scare: Man charged with gun crimes, but not threat that spurred arrest

SAN JOSE — A 21-year-old Monterey County man has been charged with multiple gun crimes, but not for actually making the shooting threats to Westfield Valley Fair that authorities say prompted his arrest on the South Bay mall’s grounds earlier this week. Pictured are firearms and ammunition recovered from a 21-year-old Seaside resident following his Feb. 3, 2021 arrest at Westfield Valley Fair mall, in connection with a social-media shooting threat he allegedly made against the San Jose mall. (San Jose Police Dept.)  Hunter Tital was charged Friday with four felony gun crimes encompassing him reportedly having a concealed loaded handgun in his satchel when he was arrested Wednesday afternoon, and an AR-15-style rifle recovered from his car. But his primary arresting offense, making criminal threats, was not filed. A San Jose police report details threatening statements that investigators say Tital made on the social-media platform Snapchat, which combined with his posting a video of a rifle in a duffel bag and his communication with another Snapchat user, appears to have spurred a police response that made its way to Santa Cruz County authorities and eventually to South Bay authorities. But a lack of specificity in the shooting remarks also…

The scam, according to police, targets children between 16 and 18 years old and sees them offered money for allowing their bank account to be used for moving criminal funds. The basis is that criminals use the victim's account to move funds that are used or have been gained from criminal activity like fraud or even more serious crimes like terrorism and human trafficking. This involves children in criminal activity and could see them saddled with massive debts and at risk of criminal action against them. A letter from Avon and Somerset Police, distributed across the county, outlined how the scam targets children and how it could land them in hot water if they do not recognise the danger signs.
