Popular Twitch star Tyler ‘Trainwreck’ Niknam has given viewers a hint at the wild amount he’s earning from his partnership with bitcoin casino and sports betting company Stake — and it’s more than you probably think. Trainwreck is best known on Twitch for his gambling streams, even giving away $1 million to viewers after hitting a major jackpot during one of his streams. In early January 2022, Train claimed that he’s down almost $13m from gambling, and while that number is truly absurd, it sounds like he might be making that money back from his sponsorships. After a viewer suggested that Trainwreck was making $1m a month from Stake, the Twitch star had to correct them and let them know that the number actually far exceeds that. “I’m not making $1m a month, I’m making much more,” he said. “The f**k you mean $1m a month? Twitch announced a new round of safety protocol measures for Black History Month weeks after the company outlined how it would combat harassment and hate raids in 2022. Streamers participating in the Black History Month celebrations on Twitch will have a few more protections against harassment as the platform continues to evolve its security against malicious viewers. The streaming giant revealed that they’ve bolstered Twitch’s systems for Black History Month broadcasters, though didn’t outline specifics for what had been improved or implemented. Dexerto has reached out to Twitch for clarification. Usually, Twitch updates the filters for their automatic systems to flag words, phrases, or behavior that aim to detect harassment as it’s happening. TwitchTwitch will upgrade its safety protocols for Black History Month streamers. The company has been reacting to a wave of hate raids in the last few years. The situation boiled over in mid-2021 when #TwitchDoBetter began trending to bring the problem to their attention. Michael Brancato, formerly of streaming platform Twitch, has joined Chess.com as its Vice President of Esports.  Prior to joining the online chess platform, Brancato spent over five years at Twitch where he held roles such as Senior Esports Product Manager and League Operations Lead. Episode 112 - Rusty Bucket Bay Area Erstwhile on skankcore64, I used a slightly shorter livestream window to take care of some unfinished business in the first few areas of Banjo-Kazooie. There were six unclaimed hollow honeycomb pieces cleverly hidden—and some not so much—in the first three large levels of the game and I couldn't let them go unnoticed. The hollow honeycombs are used to increase your total number of hit points, one hit point for each six collected, and thus are quite important for completing the later and more difficult stages. Speaking of more difficult stages, I unlocked the entrance to Rusty Bucket Bay just before ending the last skankcore64 episode. Despite a strong first week, the shooter has quickly fallen off and now averages between 40th to 70th amongst Twitch’s most viewed games. As of writing, Infinite currently holds the 58th spot, behind Bungie’s Destiny 2 and even Rockstar’s 16-year-old Bully. However, this isn’t necessarily a Halo Infinite issue. It may be more related to a shift in what viewers want to watch.
