However, the biggest concern has been that such streams could create a flow-on effect where creepy viewers who only watch that kind of content move on to other female content creators on the platform and harass them. Amouranth refuted those claims, and now she’s doubled-down on her stance and slammed people who hold that view for being “enormously ironic” for glossing over the issue and blaming it on things that “have no basis.” Twitch / AmouranthAmouranth believes her ASMR streams aren’t inherently problematic for the platform. “I will always find it enormously ironic that the generation that fought “violent video games don’t cause an uptick in gun/violent crimes” instantly turn tail and succumb to a bad take like ‘hot tub/ASMR girls literally create creepers that plague other girl creators!'” she said. “I always wondered how ‘think of the children’…

So after spending double my budget I ended up with a pretty decent rig and for 8 months I did nothing on this PC but play my game and some light web browsing. Man this thing was something i was super proud of, not only was it my first PC but it was my first PC and i built it. Oh and lets not forget about my FPS, yeah my friends were jealous and hey it felt good man I picked the parts and i did a thing. Well around December my previously flawless running PC started having a game breaking issue, it would randomly freeze. Alright so it happened once then didn't happen again for a week or so, but then it happened 4x in one night. Ugh so I did what anyone would do, I asked Google. Well after running a merit of troubleshooters and uninstalls/reinstalls I gave in and reset Windows. All that was back in January and although I thought I had fixed the issue it continued to happen, but it was…

At the moment of publishing, Twitch has not confirmed this is the reason behind the ban spree, but given who the targets are and that all of the bannings came at once, suggests it's for said streamer's participation in the new "ASMR TikTok Leggings Yoga Meta," more often referred to as the "ASMR Meta." Much like the Hot Tub streams before, this new meta exploded out of nowhere, with many of the same streamers involved. As you may remember, both Amouranth and IndieFoxx were at the origins of the Hot Tub meta, and they were once again at the center of the new ASMR Meta as well.
