Neuro-sama, an AI-powered VTuber, recently achieved a historic record by surpassing one million Bits during a Twitch Hype Train. Created by British programmer and game developer Vedal, Neuro-sama reached Hype Train Level 120 with 118,989 subscriptions and 1,000,073 Bits gifted on Vedal987's channel during her third birthday subathon. She streams on Vedal’s Twitch channel powered by an artificial intelligence system that utilizes a large language model. Gamesport reported that it broke her earlier record of Level 111 with 84,904 subs and 1,201,225 Bits, which she made this January. Vedal originally created it as an AI project initially focused on mastering the rhythm game osu!, aiming to develop the world's best AI player for it. Twitch's Hype Train is a feature that activates when viewers collectively generate a surge of support through subscriptions or Bits. It kicks off when there is a surge of support events within a short span of time. The exact threshold to start is customized by the streamer in their dashboard. The milestone followed a viral livestream with Afrobeats superstar Davido, a moment that drew massive attention both on Twitch and across social media. The achievement marks a shift in how Twitch is being used on the continent. Once dominated almost entirely by gaming creators, the platform is increasingly becoming a space for comedy, music, lifestyle content, and live cultural moments. How did Carter Efe become Africa’s biggest entertainment streamer on Twitch? The turning point came on December 17, 2025. Carter Efe’s livestream with Davido peaked at 83,000 concurrent viewers, setting a new record for an African Twitch stream. The buzz didn't fade when the stream ended. Clips circulated widely, driving new followers and subscriptions to his channel in the days that followed. Just days earlier, another high-profile livestream with Shallipopi had pulled in 26,000 viewers and helped Carter cross 11,000 Twitch subscribers. The livestream, which took place on December 17, 2025, garnered massive online attention and saw Carter Efe become Africa’s most-followed Twitch streamer, amassing over 405,000 followers. The suspension, announced on Monday, cites violations of Twitch’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, though specific details of the breaches have not been disclosed. The suspension has sparked disappointment among fans, who took to social media to express solidarity with the comedian. Speculation has emerged online suggesting the suspension may be linked to mass reporting over comments or antics during the livestream. However, reports claiming Carter Efe faced additional bans on other platforms have been dismissed as false. There are plenty of ways to support your favorite Twitch streamer, be it through subscribing, donating Twitch Bits, or donating money directly to them. The latter has, at times, caused some monumental headaches, with viewers disputing their own donations in order to leave streamers out of pocket. Of course, not every donation is sinister. Viewers want to interact with their favorite streamer, and will regularly donate to offer suggestions on games to play or videos to react to. That happened to RDCGaming on December. The Twitch streamer, who also has over 1 million subscribers on YouTube, received a $5000 donation from a fan who just wanted to see him play a specific game. However, he wasn’t having it. Twitch RDCGaming urges viewer to refund massive Twitch donation “Dispute that dono, dispute that dono bro. $5000 is crazy. I understand it’s Christmas time, but $5000 is crazy. Dispute that dono because I don’t want you to try to tell us what to play, and we just gonna play that b*tch. Dispute the dono,”

The feature extends Amazon's existing brand suitability framework by allowing advertisers to opt out of specific content topics that conflict with brand values. According to the announcement, content exclusion categories function as binary on-off switches. When advertisers select a content category, their advertisements will not appear alongside that content type across Amazon DSP's inventory sources. The implementation simplifies campaign management by eliminating the need to configure multiple controls across different supply sources. The launch also expands the brand suitability report to include content exclusion categories. Advertisers can verify advertisement placements across different inventory tiers and content exclusion categories, providing enhanced monitoring capabilities for brand suitability compliance. Amazon DSP self-service advertisers can access content exclusion categories through three methods: the Amazon DSP console under "Inherited settings" followed by "General" and the "Brand suitability" section, the public API, and the bulk tool spreadsheet. The feature rolled out across all markets where Amazon DSP operates, including North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific regions.
