Using the power of the live streaming website Twitch, the Esports team raises money through a marathon event: 24 straight hours of being live, raising money for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand charity.   Alex’s Lemonade Stand is a charity that focuses on raising money to find a cure for childhood cancer. Starting in the year 2000, the charity has funded over 1,500 projects in over 150 research centers in North America. Uwo’s Lab is the self-described “funny science man” of Twitch, where he boasts over 89,000 followers who tune in to watch his unusual broadcasts building “insane robots, electronics, gadgets, gizmos, and experiments.” His latest project took inspiration from a post on the ‘DIYaudio’ subreddit, where audiophiles gather together to share their unique speaker builds, amplifier projects, and other music-related hardware they’ve cobbled together themselves. Florian Marliere, who runs the Janusport channel, has bought the rights to show the rest of the Premiership Rugby season in France. His channel has around 11,000 subscribers, but now it will carry a major league. This move comes after the 2024–25 season was shown on beIN Sports for just one year. After that deal ended, there was no clear broadcaster. That left many fans in France unable to follow the competition. Now Marliere has stepped in, paying what he called a “five-figure sum” to secure the rights, as reported by L’Equipe. His coverage begins on Friday with Bath facing Saracens.
