However, the streamer reportedly faced backlash for the support on social media platforms, including Reddit. In another clip shared on the r/LiveStreamFail sub-reddit, Rachell revealed that she spoke to streamers "Nick Polum, and Asmongold" and asked them for advice on responding to the "posts" about her. The disclosure reportedly fueled the backlash against the streamer, with many criticising her for speaking with the controversial, political commentator Zach 'Asmongold' Hoyt. Taking accountability for the situation, Valkyrae apologised to her fans for "not being aware enough." In a clip shared by X user @Awk20000, she can be heard saying, "I apologize to my community. It was probably so hurtful and so jarring." She added, "I'm under a rock, and that's my fault. I think everyone, including myself, should be more aware of, you know, what's going on in the world.
