The "One Chip Challenge" made its rounds across the internet, daring people to try an extremely spicy tortilla chip and see how long they could hold out without drinking anything. The chip was meant for adults, but kids have been trying it, resulting in children across the country becoming sickened. Parents in Massachusetts say their teen son died hours after eating the chip.Challenges like the "One Chip Challenge" by Paqui, a company under Hershey, are part of the reason that more than 1,200 families and 200 school districts have joined a lawsuit against the parent companies of TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube, alleging the social media apps cause harm to children.Doctor Natalie Rine, the Director of the Central Ohio Poison Center, said these challenges can glamorize unhealthy behavior for kids and adults alike."So the One Chip Challenge, for example, has two of the hottest peppers, oils from two of the hottest peppers in it. They don't talk about the mouth and throat irritation, the significant abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea that you can induce with that," said Dr. Rine. The chips are now off store shelves, and all videos are gone from the challenge’s Tik Tok page."It's not really safe for adults to be

Rafael C. Wesley, 19, of Brooklyn Center, Kyrees D. Johnson, 22, of Minneapolis, and Avont A. Drayton, 21, of Burnsville, are charged in U.S. District Court with unlawful possession of machine guns, specifically that they sold these devices to undercover agents on numerous occasions this past spring. According to the charges: An investigator with the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force notified the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in March of a Snapchat group called "BLICCS&STICCS3" that was suspected of being used to help traffic machine guns, other firearms and illicit drugs in the Twin Cities "and outlying areas." Snapchat, NYX Conjures AR/AI Beauty Looks With a Hand Wave – WWD

In what may be the closest thing to casting glamour spells that tech can muster, Snap Inc. and NYX Professional Makeup are bringing a new Snapchat experience that recommends personalized beauty looks and lets people wave through the virtual try-ons by waving their hand in the air. The tech company plans to reveal the new “NYX Beauty Bestie” at its latest beauty summit on Thursday. Less a matter of magic than technical wizardry, Snap’s co-development with NYX plumbed the overlap between three bustling avenues of technology — artificial intelligence, AR and human-to-computer input — all of which are areas the partners have explored in different ways before, but aim to bring together in Beauty Bestie. AI operates behind the scenes, driven by trends and details such as occasion, time of day, local weather, mood, personal color palette and, with usage over time, personal taste and preference information. Using this data, the system will select from a range of cosmetic looks created by NYX’s human makeup artists. The app showcases each look on the user’s selfie view using AR, Snap’s specialty, and then recognizes the person’s mid-air hand gesture to roll through each option. The experience is shoppable, so once the
