THE BRONX, N.Y. — The family of Buffalo State College student Saniyya Dennis, who disappeared from campus two weeks ago, released a scathing statement Friday night refuting the local district attorney’s assertion that the Bronx teen died by suicide. Erie County District Attorney John Flynn held a news briefing Thursday during which he outlined a timeline of events and evidence that he said led to the conclusion that Dennis “took her own life.” The 19-year-old was last seen leaving her dorm late at night on April 24 after having an argument with her boyfriend earlier in the day that led him to break up with her, Flynn said. The district attorney said Dennis had multiple conversations about suicide the day she disappeared and was captured by park cameras inside Niagra Falls State Park that night. Published: 5/7/2021 4:18:03 PM  A former Pembroke Academy student convicted of assaulting female classmates in 2019 has been arrested on charges of failing to properly register as a sex offender following an incident with a sixteen year old girl. Police say Griffin Furlotte had one Snapchat account, three Instagram usernames and two email addresses that he did not report on his sex offender registration forms, as required by the state. The 20-year-old was required to register as a sex offender after pleading guilty to one felony count of nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images for sharing a video of a 14-year-old girl on Snapchat. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of simple assault, for sexual abuse that involved two different victims.These social media accounts were discovered through an interview with an underage girl who she said she met Furlotte through Instagram. In late April, the girl met Furlotte, whom she had briefly been dating, at Knowles Pond, a secluded area in Northfield, according to police reports. Shortly after, her ex-boyfriend received a series of messages, which made him think she was in danger, police said.Pembroke officers corroborated the girl’s account after serving a search warrant to look through Furlotte’s iPhone, according to court documents.When the girl’s ex-boyfriend arrived at Knowles Pond to help her, he said Furlotte and his close…

But, what if someone showed the post to your coach and you were suspended from the team for a whole year?  A high school cheerleader was suspended from playing sports for doing just that. Now, she could become a champion for students’ free speech rights. Brandi Levy, a student at Mahanoy Area High School in Pennsylvania, tried out for her school’s varsity cheerleading team but instead ended up on the JV team. According to team Trump, the outlet will enable the former president to continue sharing his thoughts and opinions despite being blocked indefinitely from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat. “In a time of silence and lies, a beacon of freedom arises. A place to speak freely and safely. Straight from the desk of Donald J. Trump,” text on a video announcing the launch reads.
