Alex Iwobi halts snapchat posts after club ban – Royal News

Fulham FC has imposed a ban on behind-the-scenes dressing room content across social media platforms, effectively ending Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi’s popular Snapchat updates that gave fans a glimpse into the club’s inner workings. Iwobi confirmed the new policy on Wednesday in a video posted to his official Snapchat account, revealing that Fulham’s media department intervened and ordered a halt to his regular backstage footage from the changing room. “For those wondering why I’ve stopped snapping BTS in the changing room, someone in the media team said I haven’t been capturing the right stuff. So there’s no more BTS,” the 28-year-old midfielder explained. He added that Fulham had warned players of financial penalties for violating the updated rules. “It’s a shame. I know you guys enjoy seeing what my teammates are like behind the scenes, but I have to respect the rules,” Iwobi said. The Super Eagles star had garnered a loyal online following through his candid posts showing team banter, pre-match routines, and post-match reactions. His Snapchat feed offered fans rare access to the relaxed and unscripted side of life in a Premier League dressing room. Since joining Fulham, Iwobi’s social media presence had become a defining element of

Hague man sentenced to 5 years for sex abuse of 30 girls | NL Times

Friday, 25 July 2025 - 22:00 Share this: A 27-year-old man from The Hague was convicted of the online abuse of young girls ages 4-13 in the Netherlands and Belgium. The court in The Hague sentenced Ibrahim A. to a prison sentence of five years and mandatory psychiatric treatment in a tbs facility. A. pretended to be a female model scout. He used this alias to ask 30 young victims for nude photos and videos in which the children performed sexually explicit acts. “The suspect worked cunningly,” the court stated. The man approached the girls via TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat. He pretended to be a young woman and invited the girls to participate in a modeling competition, giving them instructions on how to film the footage, first with clothing on and then nude, and with sexual content. He also threatened to issue fines to the girls. A. has told the police that he approached between 50 and 100 girls. Footage of 27 unidentified victims was found on his computer. “It is clear that the defendant acted entirely in pursuit of his own desires and urges, with little regard for the well-being of his victims,” the court stated. According to the

‘Suspend this monster’: Toby Overdorf demands action following James Taylor arrest – Florida Politics

Taylor is accused of sending sexually explicit images to a 12-year-old girl. Rep. Toby Overdorf is demanding the immediate suspension of Fort Pierce City Commissioner James Taylor following Taylor’s arrest for a score of felonies related to child exploitation. Taylor is accused of using Snapchat to send sexually explicit images to a 12-year-old girl, and the charges against him include transmission of harmful materials to a minor, as well as solicitation of child pornography. Overdorf, a Palm City Republican, said the accusations were “beyond sickening” and called for “swift and unrelenting” justice against the Commissioner, who was elected last year. Taylor previously served on the St. Lucie County Planning & Zoning Commission and worked as Director of Development for a construction company. “This predator, who used Snapchat to prey on a 12-year-old girl with vile, sexually explicit content, must face the harshest consequences under the law,” he said in a statement urging Gov. Ron DeSantis to “suspend this monster immediately.” “This is exactly why Florida has taken a fierce stand against the dangers of social media for our children — platforms like Snapchat can be hunting grounds for predators,” Overdorf added. “We are in awe of the brave young victim

Former Marana High teacher who sent explicit photos to student takes plea – KGUN 9

The Marana High School teacher accused of sending explicit photos to a student took a plea deal of two counts of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor. According to the interim complaint, Breyden Main was the student's teacher, the student's Freshman year. The student told Marana Police that Main helped him through some emotional times. The two began talking on the social platform Discord. They would talk daily and the student would go to his class during lunch hours with other friends. The student said Main continued to talk to him, moving to the social media platform Snapchat, his sophomore year. Main allegedly began asking the student for explicit photos during that time, the complaint said. He would ask the student to stand up or sit down or to get into other positions where the student's privates were exposed, the complaint said. The requests occurred 5-6 times, the student, who was 15-16 at the time, told investigators. Main also allegedly sent explicit photos of himself to the student, the complaint said. The student told investigators that the requests continued through the student's Junior year, with regular requests for explicit photos, the complaint said. The student said he did not have

Trade group asks Supreme Court to limit Mississippi’s social media law – NEWS10 ABC

Zach Schonfeld and The Hill 3 hours ago An internet trade group asked the Supreme Court on Wednesday to block Mississippi from enforcing its age-verification law against nine major social media platforms.  NetChoice asked the justices for an emergency intervention after the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals last week without explanation lifted a block that had protected platforms like Facebook and Instagram from the new requirements.  “In a one-sentence order, the Fifth Circuit upended the First Amendment rights of Mississippi citizens seeking to access fully protected speech across social media websites,” NetChoice wrote. The existing block had prevented Mississippi from enforcing the law against nine NetChoice members covered by the law: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, Snapchat, Reddit, Pinterest, Nextdoor and Dreamwidth.   Justice Samuel Alito, who by default handles emergency requests arising from the 5th Circuit, ordered Mississippi to respond within a week. Alito could then act on the request alone or refer it to the full court for a vote.  Mississippi’s law requires social media companies to verify users’ age and require minors to have express consent from a parent or guardian to use the platform. Covered websites must also work to mitigate minors’ exposure to harmful material, and violations carry
