Firms being investigated include Carlyle Group, Apollo Global Management, KKR & Co., TPG, Blackstone, and hedge fund companies including Citadel, Reuters wrote. Senior executives are among the employees whose messages were reportedly collected. "The executives gave their personal phones and other devices to their employers or lawyers to be copied, and messages discussing business have been handed to the SEC, three people said," according to Reuters. Yahaya has been held in prison since his arrest in March of 2020, after which he was convicted and sentenced to death by hanging by a Sharia court. The UN Working Group is a body of independent human rights experts that investigate cases of arbitrary arrest and detention. Yahaya Sharif-Aminu’s case was filed at the Supreme Court of Nigeria in November 2022, and has the potential to overturn the country’s draconian blasphemy law regime. The Supreme Court has yet to announce when the case will be heard. “The UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention’s opinion declaring the continuing prosecution and detention of Yahaya as arbitrary in violation of international law would be of great benefit not only to free Yahaya, but also to highlight the human rights abuses enabled by blasphemy laws in Nigeria,”

It's a time to recognise the important role daughters play in our lives and to express our appreciation for their presence. Without a daughter, a family is incomplete. They fill the house with love, laughter, and happiness and maintain contact with their families even as they embark on a new chapter in their lives by marrying. Significance of National Daughters Day: Daughters nowadays frequently carry several responsibilities at the expense of their physical and emotional health since they are concerned about the well-being of all their loved ones. While girls should be shown love, support, and equal opportunity, this is unfortunately not the situation in our nation, where gender inequality is widespread.
