Keep checking back as we bring you scores, news, features and more from Day 8 here in Paris 20:11 Alcaraz beats Shelton in four Carlos Alcaraz comes through a high-quality fourth round test against Ben Shelton in four sets 7-6(8), 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 in a shade over three hours. There’ll be many wondering whether that match might have taken a different path had Shelton converted any of the three set points he had in the opening chapter. We'll never know. Alcaraz will be pleased - and a touch relieved - to have wrapped that up in four sets. It's the sort of test at this stage of a Grand Slam that sharpens you up nicely. He’ll face Tommy Paul in the quarterfinals. ©Loïc Wacziak / FFT 18:13 Sabalenka finishes off Anisimova As the Alcaraz-Shelton first set comes to an end, over on Lenglen Aryna Sabalenka books her quarterfinal spot by beating American Amanda Anisimova 7-5, 6-3 - securing the win with a backhand winner up the line on her eighth match point. Wiregrass Archives launches interactive map for Alabama historical markers – Troy Today

The Wiregrass Archives at Troy University-Dothan recently completed the Alabama Historical Marker Digital Enhancement Project, a grant-funded project that created a public-facing digital map for historical markers across the state. A partnership between the Alabama Historical Association Marker Committee, Alabama Heritage magazine and the Encyclopedia of Alabama, the project created a digital map of 218 Alabama Historical Association markers in Jefferson, Montgomery and Tuscaloosa counties.   L-R: Scotty Kirkland, Laura Hill, Rebecca Minder and Dr. Marty Olliff. Besides pinning the markers by location, the project added information about each marker’s title, location, text, image and sponsors. Project assistant Dr. Katie Beasley located Encyclopedia of  Alabama articles for 81 markers and Alabama Heritage articles for 36.  “The project’s real mission was to link as many markers as possible to digitally available articles from the Encyclopedia of Alabama and Alabama Heritage magazine that provide readers with information beyond each marker’s text,” said Dr. Marty Olliff, director of the Wiregrass Archives and principal investigator for the project. Now that the initial phase of the project is complete, the group will add the remaining 600 Alabama Historical Association markers as soon as possible. Ultimately, the goal is to enhance tourism and, particularly, K-12 social studies education. “This digital map provides a tool that aligns with the newly

Twitter ordered to pay $8 million for breaking Boulder lease – The Denver Post

X Corp., the social media company formerly known as Twitter, has been ordered to pay more than $8 million to its former landlord in Boulder after a judge determined it broke its lease. “Twitter was not entitled to a credit for rent due on Dec. 1, 2022, and its nonpayment of rent for December and thereafter was a breach,” Judge Nancy Salomone wrote May 23. In 2020, Twitter agreed to lease 64,500 square feet of the 70,000-square-foot Railyards at S’PARK office building, which was then under construction at 3401 Bluff St. The lease called for the company to stay 10 years, until 2032. It lasted a little more than one year. Twitter stopped paying rent in late 2022, was evicted and sued its former landlord for wrongful eviction, and was sued for back rent. A five-day trial was held this past March. The triple-net lease between Twitter and S’PARK’s owners, The John Buck Co. in Chicago, provided Twitter with a tenant improvement allowance of $5.8 million. As Salomone noted in her verdict last week, “The central dispute in this litigation is whether Twitter satisfied the lease conditions precedent to accessing that tenant improvement allowance.” The 192-page lease for 3401 Bluff
