Last summer, Twitter started testing both upvote and downvote options on tweet replies. Now, several months later, the downvote button is rolling out on a global scale – while the upvote button is nowhere to be seen. Twitter says this is still a test – or rather a global “experiment” – but the company has also shared what it’s learned about the usefulness of the downvote button in the months it’s been in limited testing among select groups of people. Downvote counts won’t be made public, so no one will really know just how much a certain Twitter post has been downvoted. Mark Walker, who is running for U.S. Senate, has sparked heated debate on Twitter. “It’s not for the faint of heart or DC elitists, but there is nothing like late night Waffle House on the campaign trail,” he posted at 10:02 p.m Thursday on his verified @RepMarkWalker Twitter account. The post included a photo of his order: two eggs, hashbrowns and toast. But what seemed to prompt a reaction was not what he ordered so much as it was what he didn’t. Historian and author Kevin Kruse screenshotted Walker’s post and said, “Good God, dry white toast *and* plain hash browns. In most southern states, this is grounds for arrest.” Kruse’s post received more than 4,900 likes and hundreds of retweets. After hitting a game-winning jumper the last time the Golden State Warriors met the Houston Rockets, Steph Curry found a different way to leave his impact in Monday’s rematch. Through the first three-quarters of the game, Curry tallied 19 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the floor as the Warriors gripped to a nine-point advantage over the Rockets. Yet in the fourth quarter, Golden State’s All-Star point guard wasn’t done. With 12 minutes remaining in the contest, Curry took over.
