Twitter has agreed to all FG's demands – Keyamo – Punch Newspapers

Published 29 November 2021 The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has stated that the microblogging website, Twitter, has agreed to all the demands laid down by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Twitter was banned indefinitely in Nigeria after the website took down a post by the President, Major Gen Muhammadu Buhari, on his official handle, which it claims violated its community policy. Speaking on Channels TV on Monday, Keyamo said twitter reached out to the FG to iron out issues that led to the ban. He said, “It was Twitter that reached out to the federal government to say they want to know what and what they can do to straighten up the relationship with the federal government and so, we have gone far but I may not, at this forum, let out a lot but we gave them a lot of conditions and they have agreed to all the conditions.” The FG had alleged that the social media platform was acting against the interest of the country hence its suspension of access from Nigerian internet space. Buhari had set up a committee to ensure that the US-based tech giant complied with its demands for it…

Twitter will soon let you react, downvote tweets hints screenshots from app – India Today

After unveiling several features this year, micro-blogging site Twitter is reportedly readying new features, including Reactions, Downvotes, and Sorted Replies for iOS users. According to a report by 9to5Mac, Twitter is getting busy this year as the company is launching new features before the end of the year. To add to this, the company is expected to have a lot of other surprises hidden for people.Reverse engineer Nima Owji said that users could be getting close to the release date of Twitter's Reactions. The reactions feature was still being tested out for a couple of months now and is finally set to launch soon as Owji saw certain references to the new feature in Twitter's code. With four new reactions, "tears of joy," "thinking face," "clapping hands" and "crying face," this feature is designed to give users the ability to better show how conversations make them feel and to give users "a better understanding of how their Tweets are received. Not only that but Nima also said that Twitter is now able to store data about the downvotes feature, which is another indicator that this function will be released sooner rather than later. Twitter could soon launch reactions and downvotes, hidden code suggests | TechRadar

Home News Internet (Image credit: Shutterstock/XanderSt) Twitter could soon start offering a whole set of different ways to respond to tweets, based on hidden code spotted in the iOS version of the app – the long-rumored ability to react with emojis and downvotes now seems to be closer to launch than ever. That's as per reverse engineering tipster @nima_owji (via 9to5Mac), who has done some digging into the Twitter app code. These features aren't actually live yet for users, but it looks as though the software is laying the groundwork for them.Rumors about reactions coming to Twitter have been swirling for months now. When they appear, they should work in a similar way to the equivalent feature on Facebook: you'll be able to add a thinking face, a sad face, a laughing face, a clap or a heart to any tweet that you come across on the platform.#Twitter is now able to store the data about your downvotes which means it's coming! I guess they'll use these data in order to make the “Sort” feature work. Also, they've changed its position. pic.twitter.com/21G3SdsU2iNovember 23, 2021See moreCheck out the best Black Friday dealsThe best laptops together in one placeNew leaks for the Samsung Galaxy…

LSU Players and Recruits Are Now Following Lincoln Riley on Twitter | Barstool Sports

Well that’s certainly intriguing. Lincoln Riley is now followed by several LSU recruits as well as basketball coach Will Wade and new baseball coach Jay Johnson.Johnson’s follow seems particularly relevant, as the others could have presumably been from a while ago for a number of reasons, but Johnson is entering his first year in Baton Rouge.Does this *actually* mean anything? I don’t know, maybe not. But in today’s landscape and with the way things work in 2021, Twitter follows aren’t nothing. It’s something you at least have to pay attention to.If LSU truly is able to lure Riley away from Oklahoma, that would open up yet another blue blood job in what is already the most notable coaching carousels we’ve seen in some time. Is it easier to win a national title at LSU than Oklahoma once OU enters the SEC? It looks like we’ll find out Riley’s answer to that question soon enough. And if Oklahoma finds itself in need of a new coach, where does it look? Does OU call Josh Heupel, who led the Sooners to an undefeated season and national championship at quarterback in 2000 and has impressed in his first season as Tennessee’s head coach? Does…

Twitter for iOS readying Reactions, Downvotes, and Sorted Replies – 9to5Mac

Twitter is having a very busy year. The company has launched many features for its users and although we are almost in December, the app might have a few more surprises hidden for people. According to reverse engineer Nima Owji, we might be close to the release date of Reactions. This feature, which started being tested a couple of months ago, is set to launch soon, as Owji was able to find references to that in Twitter’s code. With four new reactions, “tears of joy,” “thinking face,” “clapping hands,” and “crying face,” this feature is designed to give users the ability to better show how conversations make them feel, and to give users “a better understanding of how their Tweets are received.” Not only that but Nima also said that Twitter is now able to store data about the downvotes feature, which is another indicator that this function will be released sooner rather than later. The reverse engineer also notes that the company changed the downvote position as well, so it will appear before the like button. Twitter has even added a new tab explaining how downvotes work: Tap to downvote: See a reply that doesn’t seem relevant to the…

Mac & Cheese Photos Go Viral, Black Twitter Reacts To Whitest Versions | NewsOne

Source: MediaNews Group/Reading Eagle via Getty Images / Getty Food snobs can be so obnoxious when they offer criticism of those meal unsolicited pics that people are so fond of gratuitously posting to social media. But on Thanksgiving, Black Twitter disproved that theory in a resounding fashion as users reacted with humorous facts to the whitest versions of macaroni and cheese, a holiday staple that has somehow been bastardized by cooks with predilections for infusing any given meal with raisins and other inappropriate additives that dilute the beautiful simplicity of what standard mac and cheese recipes call for. MORE: Woman’s Mac & Cheese With Raisins Dish Gets Posted To TikTok And Then Swiftly Dragged Back To The Hell From Whence It Came For instance, while citing raisins is a hyperbolic, tongue-in-cheek metaphor for any food prepared by white people, Thanksgiving mac and cheese photos posted to social media on Thursday show that it is no exaggeration to say that Black people have one united vision of what the dish looks like, while white folks, er, um… let’s just say they don’t. From using pasta that isn’t macaroni to laying slices of Kraft American cheese on top to mixing in ingredients…

In Twitter Thread On Most Confusing Film, This Director Popped Up Often – Easy Guess – NDTV.com

Tenet was a popular choice. (courtesy: tenetthefilm)HighlightsIMDB started a Twitter thread Christopher Nolan, David Lynch films dominated the list Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange was on the list tooNew Delhi: A Twitter thread started by IMDb this week on the most confusing movie threw up some common answers. Many responses agree that Christopher Nolan's time and mind-bending films are hard to follow; three in particular were named - Inception, Memento and Tenet. David Lynch appears to be a close second to Christopher Nolan with Mulholland Drive and Eraserhead invoked more than once. People were also perplexed by Jake Gyllenhaal's breakout film Donnie Darko, 12 Monkeys starring Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt, Nicholas Cage's Adaptation, and Stanley Kubrick's film of A Clockwork Orange.Inception and Memento were bad enough, Tenet was worse:Inception, a load of pi$h, idea stolen from the matrix, Robert Jordan's wheel of time concept of Tel'aran'rhiod (unseen world, world of dreams) and a sci-film that starred Keanu reeves Johnny Mnemonic— Rebel Scot (@Ind3pendent7) November 24, 2021Christopher Nolan's films.Memento, Inception , Tenet. pic.twitter.com/GDdGpDXGQw— Catwoman (@4rosesfour) November 21, 2021Inception... the final scenes make my head hurt trying to figure it out.
