TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's ice hockey team delivered its most complete offensive performance of the season tonight, rolling to a 6–1 home victory over Colgate. Six different Engineers found the back of the net, while RPI struck for four unanswered goals across the second and third periods to pull away from the Raiders. RPI set the tone early, opening the scoring just three minutes into the contest when Matthew Buckley finished an even-strength chance off a crisp setup from Filip Sitar and Ian Scherzer . Colgate briefly answered at midway through the period, however the Engineers reclaimed control less than a minute later on the power play, as Luciano Wilson buried the eventual game-winning goal, converting a feed from Sitar and Buckley to give RPI a 2–1 lead after one. The Engineers broke the game open early in the second period with a pair of quick strikes. Tyler Wallace made it 3–1, finishing a strong shift with helpers from Alfred Lindberg and Jagger Tapper , before Scherzer extended the margin just 75 seconds later, snapping home an even-strength goal off assists from Thomas Klassek and Sitar. RPI wasted little time adding to the advantage in

Earlier this season, it was Mo Dioubate, who returned to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama. On Saturday, it will be Denzel Aberdeen making a return to his former school when No. 25 Kentucky visits 14th-ranked Florida in Gainesville. Aberdeen played three seasons for the Gators, including last year when Florida won the national championship. Kentucky head coach Mark Pope discussed Aberdeen’s return to Gainesville during his Thursday press conference. The UK head man is not concerned about how Aberdeen will be affected. “I think D.A. is pretty steady right now,” Pope said. “His play over the last month has been phenomenal. He’s had huge number games. He went on a four or five-game tear where his numbers were just outrageous.” Over the last nine games, Aberdeen has been a steady part of the UK attack. He’s averaging 14.3 points per game during the current streak, including a season-high 22-point effort at Tennessee in January. Aberdeen also leads the team in assists (29) over the last nine games. The senior’s play has contributed to Kentucky winning eight of the nine games during this span. “You
