The heavy metal legends have been teasing an announcement on Thursday 15th July ever since mysterious Belshazzar’s Feast posters started appearing at Download Pilot festival last month. Iron Maiden’s newly posted countdown video now confirms that the reveal will happen at 6pm UK time on Thursday. Jeff Mullins was the first major talent to go from Duke to the NBA He would be shortly followed by Jack Marin, and then there would be a long gap before Mike Gminski arrived in the 1980s. As a Blue Devil, he teamed up with Art Heyman to make up some of the iconic Duke teams of the early 1960s. He was drafted by the Hawks, then in St. Louis, in 1964, and traded to San Francisco in 1966, where he spent the rest of his career (San Francisco changed its name to Golden State in 1971). He got to play with Nate Thurmond, Rick Barry and Clifford Ray and helped the Warriors win a championship in 1975. At Duke, Vic Bubas came within an eyelash of adding Bill Bradley to Mullins and Heyman in what would have given Duke an historically great team. Bradley of course ended up at Princeton although he and Mullins both made the 1964 Olympic team, and played in Tokyo. Initially launched in a handful of countries, YouTube Shorts is now rolling out globally, with the number now way over 100. You get the same vertical style video format which is shorter in length, meant to grab quick engagement from the user. That service, is still in beta right now, but YouTube is making it available to more than 100 countries, after being initially available in around 26, including the United States and United Kingdom. TikTok has been around for quite a while now and everyone has tried their hand at emulating the same success. Will YouTube will be able to catch up with Shorts now that it is available in pretty much every country where the service is accessible? Only time can tell. Dennis Rodman’s outlandish behavior and personal demons unfortunately overshadowed his greatness to an extent. And he was legitimately great. But he really did have a lot to deal with. He had a very difficult childhood and adolescence, and never was on anyone’s radar for greatness. Rodman’s father left the family and measures his children by the dozens. It’s somewhere between two and four dozen. Rodman basically never knew him. His father’s name? Philander, believe it or not. He graduated high school when he was about 5-11 and his mother told him to get a job or get out and he was on his own for some time. Then he grew suddenly to about 6-7 and ended up playing ball at a Community College and then for Southeastern Oklahoma State and then finally was drafted by the Detroit Pistons. He was an odd talent who, somewhat like Bill Russell, was happy to focus on defense and rebounding. And he was far more intelligent than people realized. We’ve said before that the most amazing thing that Bill Russell accomplished in his insanely successful career was to win the last game every year from his junior year at San Francisco until his final season with the Boston Celtics, including the Olympics, except for twice. The first time was in 1958, when he was injured. The second time? It was in 1967, when Wilt Chamberlain, back in Philadelphia with the 76ers after moving west with the Warriors, beat Boston before moving on to beat his old team for the championship. It’s an incredible accomplishment - well, two. First, the unbelievable desire to win that Bill Russell translated into back-to-back NCAA championships, Olympic gold, and 11 NBA titles in 13 years. And second, that Philadelphia broke the string. Of course having Chamberlain was a big deal. Even 48 years after his retirement, there has never been anyone who has come close to his combination of size, strength and stunning athleticism. This is the second half of Game 4 of that series. Battlegrounds Mobile India will soon get its July 2021 update that will bring a host of improvements and new features to the game. Its developer Krafton has shared some of the changes coming to the battle royale game through a video on the official Battlegrounds Mobile India YouTube channel. There will be a new weapon — a light machine gun (LMG) called the MG3. Healing consumables will now throwable items. Battlegrounds Mobile India will also get a limited-time Mission Ignition mode that will bring several changes to the Erangel map.The patch notes preview video shared on the Battlegrounds Mobile India YouTube channel explains the major changes coming with the July 2021 update. The M249 LMG will not be part of supply drops but available as a standard weapon on the ground. A new LMG called MG3 has been added as part of supply drops. To the best of our memory, Shaquille O’ Neal came through the Triangle twice. He played in the US Olympic Trials before he was regarded as an inevitable great, and he played at Duke during the Christian Laettner years, when Laettner just went outside and shot over O’ Neal, who never really figured out how to guard a jump shooter. He never figured out how to take one either, not that it mattered. At 7-1, around 300 lbs. and powerfully athletic, why would he have to? He just mowed over people in the paint and dared them to guard him. Not many could. He just rolled over everyone who tried to, with only a few exceptions. In fact, O’ Neal focus in the lane was nearly total but here is an interesting clip of his career three pointers. It’s probably not something you ever thought of.
