On Thursday, Infowars host and founder Alex Jones appeared on journalist Tim Pool’s Timcast IRL podcast alongside author and media personality Michael Malice. As with most of Jones’ guest appearances, the episode was hugely popular and racked up 999,000 views in less than 24 hours. It also had a 99% approval rating with 92,000 likes to 1,300 dislikes. But less than a day after the episode was live streamed, YouTube took it down and claimed that it violated the rules around “harassment and bullying.” Double your web browsing speed with today's sponsor. Get Brave. Pool tweeted that it was “literally one second out of 4 hours that got the episode pulled” and suggested that the episode was taken down because of comments Jones made when discussing investor Bill Gates’ past statements on “death panels” (panels that decide whether elderly or terminal patients should be given medical care). Gates stated in 2010 that the cost of healthcare was squeezing “higher education” and framed this as “a tradeoff society is making because of very, very high medical costs and a lack of willingness to say, ‘You know, is spending a million dollars on that last three months of life for that patient, would it be better not to lay off those 10 teachers and to make that tradeoff in medical costs?’ But that’s called the death panel and you’re not supposed to have that discussion.” And when asked about death panels in a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, Gates said: “The idea that there aren’t trade-offs is an outrageous thing. Most countries know that there are trade-offs, but here, we manage to have the notion that there aren’t any. So that’s unfortunate, to not have people think, ‘Hey, there are finite resources here.'” During the Timcast IRL segment (which begins around 34:13…

Proponents of placentophagy have accredited the process with preventing and reducing postpartum depression, improving mood, boosting energy, improving lactation and being a general benefit to new mothers. But health officials have previously pushed back on encapsulation based on a June 2017 study published by the CDC.The CDC warned against capsule consumption after a newborn in Oregon developed recurrent group B streptococcus sepsis, a bacteria that can cause complications for newborns and even result in sepsis. The CDC study said the newborn baby began having difficulty breathing after the mother began digesting placenta capsules infected with the bacteria from her dried placenta. The mother of a teen YouTube sensation with 5 million followers has dropped the lawsuit she filed against an unnamed woman who allegedly defamed the plaintiff on Instagram with claims of child pornography. Tiffany Smith’s Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit was filed April 20 and identified the alleged author of the damaging comments only as Jane Doe because she was unable to identify her. Smith, whose daughter is 13-year-old YouTube personality Piper Rockelle, sought unspecified compensatory and punitive damages. Smith’s attorneys filed court papers on Oct. 22 asking Judge Susan Bryant-Deason to dismiss the suit “without prejudice,” meaning the plaintiff can refile it later if circumstances warrant her doing so. The final court papers still identified the defendant as Jane Doe. According to the plaintiff, her daughter has nearly 5 million YouTube subscribers and 3 million Instagram followers. Doe is an Instagram subscriber who, along with others, created an account on Instagram dubbed ExposingRockelles, according to the suit, which described the account as a “hate” page “dedicated to harassing and disseminating false and defamatory allegations” against Smith and her family. Smith learned in March that Doe published assertions that she is involved in child pornography in order to subject her family to shame, embarrassment, humiliation and ridicule, the suit alleged. Doe also published Smith’s address and posted photographs of her home, where Piper also resides, “in order to intimidate and expose plaintiff and her family to harassment and harm…,” according to the suit. In one posting Doe wrote, “Someone’s address just got leaked. Credits: my team,” according to the suit, which says the defendant’s actions resulted “in the intended outcome as strangers appeared at plaintiff’s home and the police had to be called.” Outraged Mom Of YouTube Teen Sensation Drops Lawsuit: Fake Child Porn ‘Hate’…
Read moreDetailsAs Play Music nears deprecation, Google continues to update its successor with more and more features. YouTube Music is now working on Snapchat and Instagram story sharing, but the functionality is not yet live. If you have Instagram or Snapchat installed on your Android device, YouTube Music’s custom share sheet features two new targets. “Instagram stories” and “Snapchat stories” look to be generated by the streaming service and not the default ones — as determined by the square icon shape — offered by the social apps. At the moment, tapping either crashes YouTube Music. However, it’s clear what functionality Google is working towards. Similar to Apple Music and Spotify, you’ll presumably be able to share a story that features the song you’re listening to. This should include album artwork and artist name, as well as some sort of custom vertical background. If Google is working with Instagram, there will likely be a link for viewers of the story to open YouTube Music and start listening. Besides giving existing users popular Snapchat and Instagram sharing options, this serves as another way for Google to advertise YouTube Music. As of today, the integration does not appear to be live on either social network.
