The judge said it would be disproportionate to criminalise the accused for a “momentary lapse of judgement”, after hearing Carberry was seeking work as a language teacher. Carberry, of Howth Road, Killester, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography at a premises in East Wall Road on January 17 last year.
