Community meetings scheduled to learn more about November bond Dearborn Public Schools has announced plans for 21 meetings where the public can learn more about the $1.5 billion bond that will be on the Nov. 3 ballot. The meetings will be held at the district’s elementary schools. Each meeting will include a presentation about the bond for all of those in attendance. Information related to that specific elementary school and the middle and high school those students later attend will also be shared. School specific information will also be available on the district’s bond website before the meetings begin. Meetings are scheduled for every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from Sept. 1 through Oct. 22. Dearborn Public Schools is asking voters to approve a bond that will replace or completely remodel every school in the district over the course of 20 years. Six new preschool through eighth grade buildings will be built – all serving as neighborhood schools. The three traditional high schools – Dearborn High, Fordson, and Edsel Ford – will receive more than $220 million in improvements.
