At first light a young man was reported missing on the waters of Mobile Bay. He was last seen just before 1am wearing only swim trunks and paddling a pink kayak off the coast of Fairhope. Shortly after receiving the call for the missing Kayaker it was relayed to Daphne SAR that a man had gone overboard from a recreational fishing vessel and had not resurfaced in an area nearly 10 miles south of the Ft. Morgan Peninsula near Gulf Shores, in the Gulf of America. DSAR members began searching for the missing kayaker as further information was being collected on the missing fisherman. Mid morning the kayaker was located tired and dehydrated adrift on the kayak not far from the mouth of the Mobile River.
