The first half of the NFL season has not gone the way the Detroit Lions had hoped. We are perhaps being generous in this phrasing, but it also cuts deep and clean and needs no other explanation to its meaning. When you are winless, little has gone your way. But this simply means there is a second half, another selection of football games just waiting to stamp upon the face of this Lions squad.
