My daughter enjoys crafting. Since we will be doing some camping and vacationing early in the summer, needlepoint might be a great hobby for me to help her get started with a mother-daughter project. Needlepoint supplies are easy to fit into a tote full of books when camping or a checked luggage bag on vacation. As a full time working mom, I appreciate easy tutorials that include what materials to purchase and provide instructions for a craft. HDL’s online classes through Creativebug offer just that.Creativebug provides video tutorials for craft projects taught by professional artists. Projects range from a stitch sampler to botanical leaf embroidery to achieving a marbled look with stitches. I can even download PDF instructions ahead of time in case spotty WIFI service makes watching video tutorials a challenge. There are so many directions to go with needlepoint, once we settle into a routine later in the summer, she could easily be inspired to pursue more needlepoint on her own.
