‘I am not slowing down’: Chuck Edwards vows to finish term representing western NC

(Photo credit: WLOS Staff) WLOS — In a Facebook post on Friday, Aug. 14, Congressman Chuck Edwards addressed his intentions for the rest of his term and what he did today. The post reads in part, I may not be running for office, but I am not slowing down. Until the final day of my term, I will fiercely represent the people of Western North Carolina and work to leave this district—and this country—stronger than I found it. He went on to say that he spoke with constituents today, discussing FEMA issues, diabetes, cancer research and treatment, IRS issues and much more. On Aug. 5, Edwards announced his withdrawal from his re-election campaign to represent North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District again.
