INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP men’s and women’s swim teams hosted their first home meet since before 2020 on Friday, as six Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference programs competed at Pidgeon Natatorium in the Crimson Hawk Fall Invitational and the IUP Sprint Frenzy. In the Crimson Hawk Invitational, six IUP swimmers and relay teams recorded top finishes. The winners included the women’s 400 medley relay, Summer Esson in the 200 individual medley, Gem Crittenden in the 100 butterfly, Ty Uhlig in the 200 freestyle, Jordan Crupie in the 100 backstroke, and Tina Cudina in the 100 breaststroke. In the Sprint Frenzy, the women’s 200 medley relay, Trent Powell in the 100 freestyle, Kaleese Jallow in the 50 freestyle, Stephen Goff in the 50 freestyle, Crittenden in the 50 butterfly, and the team’s 100 individual medley entry all earned top times in the shorter-distance events. Overall, IUP posted 12 wins across 30 events.
