Jail for man who breached order and made sexual remarks towards 14-year-old girl on Snapchat

A 22-year-old man who was told to not to be in contact with anyone under the age of 16 without consent from his supervising officer, was found to be in contact with a 14-year-old girl. Neilly Clark made sexual remarks towards the teenager in the form of a ‘joke’. He was convicted of a sexual offence on May 16, 2023 and he was made subject to a Sexual Harm Protection Order (SHPO) in February 2024. On September 9, 2024, he committed another sexual offence and was sentenced to 10 months in prison, and was released on license on January 7, last year. However, while he was staying in Church Street, Inverness, his support worker was helping him change his bedding when she noticed ‘something shiny’ at his bedside table on March 15, last year. When he was asked what it was, Clark replied: “Oh it’s nothing.” When the support worker insisted they see what it was, aware of the conditions of the prevention order, the accused was reluctant but eventually showed that it was a Samsung mobile phone.
