Firefighters were called to the Frog Rock Golf and Country Club at 2:39 a.m. for a report of an explosion and fire, according to a statement from the Hammonton Fire Department. When they arrived, they found the building fully engulfed in flames. The fire also spread to nearby greens, golf carts and wooded areas, the department said. The main building, which served as a restaurant, wedding venue and banquet hall, was destroyed in the blaze, but nobody was inside at the time and nobody was injured, according to a report by ABC. The cause of the fire and possible explosion remained under investigation late Tuesday night. The owner of the property, Rocky Colasurdo, told ABC that anyone who had events scheduled at the venue would get their money back, including a couple that was set to get married there over the weekend.
