The AR-powered tool allows users to virtually try makeup looks, receive personalized color recommendations based on their skin undertones, and share their creations with friends. Snapchat’s in-house innovation studio developed the platform exclusively for the Indian market. MNY Look Studio features four AR makeup styles inspired by Indian festivals including Diwali, Navratri, and Durga Puja. The platform also recommends Maybelline products that match the virtual looks users create. Additional looks are scheduled to roll out in October following the initial September launch. Jessica Rode, General Manager of Maybelline New York India, said the partnership allows the brand to reach consumers through interactive technology while maintaining cultural relevance. She cited Snapchat’s strong presence among Gen Z users in India as a key factor in the collaboration.
