The latest set from the rapper-turned-rocker starts with 63,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week ending Aug. 14, according to Luminate. Of that sum, 40,000 units are album sales, good enough for mgk’s second No. 1 on the all-genre Top Album Sales list. Related Lost Americana follows reigns for mgk via Tickets to My Downfall for 13 weeks in 2020 and 2021 and Mainstream Sellout for two frames in 2022. Both albums represented a departure for the artist to a more pop punk-indebted sound. Lost Americana joins those albums as a ruler of Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums as well, and on the all-genre Billboard 200, the LP starts at No. 4.
