Moorhead Mayor’s deletion of a Facebook post may have been against the law – KFGO

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – On September 15 Moorhead Mayor Shelly Carlson went on her official Facebook page to detail the happenings at that day’s City Council workshop meeting. She mentioned Council member Deb White by name – a move White says caught her completely off-guard. “I’ve been on council for eight years and I’ve never seen this happen before. I’ve never been singled out by the Mayor and another colleague on social media, and I’ve never seen that happen to anybody else,” said White. Carlson says she was not targeting White in any way but simply recounting the events that had just taken place. “This was a budget discussion, and I really just wanted to put it out there to see kind of what the community was thinking,” Carlson said.
