LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State struck early and often on Friday night at Presley Askew Field at Johnson Stadium, using a four‑run first inning and fending off a late Prairie View push to earn a 12-6 victory. The Aggies tallied 13 hits, including nine extra‑base knocks, and scored in five different innings to secure their second straight win. NM State immediately got on the board as doubles from Aidan Taclas , Steve Solorzano , Bryce Campbell and Chris Daniels led to four runs in the first inning. After Prairie View scored once in the second, NM State responded with two in the third on a Daniels sacrifice fly and a Cole Rogers RBI triple. The Aggies later pushed across three in the sixth to match a three-run sixth from the visitors. The Aggie scoring was highlighted by Taclas’ RBI single and a two‑run double from Daniels, extending their lead to 10-4.
