SAN JOSE, Calif.—Mikaela Pitts won her third vault title of the season, and the San José State women’s gymnastics team recorded a 196.100, the 16th highest team score in history, in a tri-meet with Air Force and UC Davis at the Provident Credit Union Event Center. Pitts scored a 9.850 on vault to win the vault title for the second consecutive meet. Samantha Macasu led the bars team with a career-best 9.875. The beam team scored a 49.100, led by Sophie Patterson, who tied her career high with a 9.875. Ava Johnson anchored the floor team with a 9.875, as the Spartans scored a 49.075. SJSU scored a 196.100 for the first time in school history and ranks 16th on the all-time list. It is the second consecutive week that SJSU recorded a top-16 score in school history.
