Tonight, on The Stevetendo Show, we’re starting a brand new playthrough. In the past, I have used The Stevetendo Show to play games that I have never played before, and that trend will continue tonight with The Messenger. I have wanted to play The Messenger for quite some time, so I jumped at the chance to buy it when it was super cheap on the Nintendo Switch eShop last week. I am a fan of the Metroidvania genre with the likes of Bloodstained, Hollow Knight: Silksong and more. The Messenger had me with classic old-school platforming and sold me even more with ninjas. We haven’t played a platformer on the show in a while, but we finished Kirby and the Forgotten Star-Crossed World’s DLC last week. If The Messenger doesn’t pan out going forward, we always have the yearly Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past playthrough.
