Beginning Monday Sept. 21, crews will be removing a thin layer of the existing asphalt pavement and placing a new rubberized asphalt surface to extend the life of the roadway, which will provide a smoother ride on northbound and southbound State Route 17 within the project limits. To ensure the safety of the traveling public and workers, a rolling lane closure will be in place with the support of the California Highway Patrol.
