Burrell accused of sending photos, videos to 14-year-old girl HOLLIDAYSBURG — A Stony Point man taken into custody for allegedly sending sexually explicit photos and videos to a juvenile female over Snapchat in May is heading for a jury trial. Jonathan Robert Burrell, 27, is facing two felony counts each of disseminating explicit sexual material to a minor and unlawful contact with a minor and single felony counts of statutory sexual assault and sexual abuse of children. He remains in custody at the Blair County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. Burrell’s case was placed on the court’s schedule for jury selection for Oct. 20 at the request of his defense attorney John F. Siford. Charges were brought against Burrell after Altoona police began a monthslong investigation on Jan. 8, 2025, when a 14-year-old victim and her guardian reported Burrell for sending the victim photos of his genitalia over Snapchat. In reviewing the victim’s phone, officers found that Burrell had sent the victim about five photos of his genitalia, as well as two sexually explicit videos of himself, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
