COLONIE, N.Y. (WNYT) – A social media post from a local restaurant’s Facebook account is causing a firestorm. The comment was made by Taste of Italy on a Facebook post by NewsChannel 13’s Kumi Tucker about the body of 7-year-old Harbe Nagi being found in Menands. The anti-Muslim comment has angered many in the community, including some Albany County lawmakers. The owner of taste of Italy, Frank Cappello, says he didn’t write the post, but that it was written by someone who has access to the restaurant’s Facebook page. The owner says he knows who it is, and will handle that, but that he takes responsibility for what happens with his restaurant and that he’s sorry. A peaceful protest is planned for Wednesday evening at 6:00 outside the restaurant. For Related Stories: Taste of Italy Protest Facebook
