The Hudson Star-Observer launched a LinkedIn page, where readers can get updates with a focus on the local business community, the newspaper announced Tuesday. Since 1854 — through several name changes and other iterations — the paper has delivered news to the St. Croix County community. Today, the newspaper features a weekly print product and a five-day-per-week newsletter. The Star-Observer and the River Falls Journal operate under the same editorial team. Stories from both go into the Star-Observer’s print edition, which hits newsstands every Thursday. The Star-Observer and River Falls Journal now operate out of KPT Collaborative, a coworking space located at 522 Second St. in Hudson. The Star-Observer continues to look for ways to reach a more digital audience, without conflicting with its current print and web product. In addition to new social media pages, the news outlet plans to roll out a video product in the coming months. The Star-Observer will still post updates on its other platforms, including its Facebook page, but the LinkedIn page will be a new avenue for readers to stay informed. Unlike the other avenues, it will center on the Star-Observer’s business coverage and other news that appeals to LinkedIn’s core audience. Have a LinkedIn page?
