Published Today President Donald Trump welcomed farmers, ranchers and agricultural leaders to the White House Thursday night, using the event to highlight trade initiatives, ethanol policy and proposed financial assistance for agriculture. The Administration plans to use frozen Iranian funds to purchase U.S. wheat, corn and soybeans to address food shortages in Iran. Trump also reiterated his support for year-round E15. “We eliminated unnecessary restrictions on sales of E15 and I made it clear that I will sign a bill allowing E15 all year round and that was very important to the farmers.” In addition, Trump urged Congress to approve an $11 billion supplemental farm relief package.
