Vimeo’s second annual Short Film Grant will award five emerging filmmakers $60,000 each, alongside Panavision equipment, industry mentorship and distribution support. Applications open on 21 September. Vimeo has announced the return of its Short Film Grant , doubling the programme’s total production funding from $150,000 last year to $300,000 for its 2026 edition. Five emerging filmmakers will each receive $60,000 to produce an original short film, compared with the $30,000 awarded to each of the five inaugural recipients in 2025. Applications for the new round will open on 21 September 2026. The grant also expands its production support this year through partnerships with Panavision, Other World Computing (OWC), AJA and ShotDeck.
