A resident reported that at 3:41 p.m. March 8 a car struck her vehicle at the intersection of Ogden and Forest avenues while attempting to make a U-turn; then left the scene. Damage not reported. A resident on the 5800 block of Woodland Avenue reported at 7:12 p.m. March 8 that her son was blackmailed on Snapchat by a female he had recently met. Financial loss was $375. Driving with a revoked/suspended license Lashawn Murphy, 51, of the 1000 block of Cedar Avenue, Elgin, was charged at 11:49 p.m. March 8 at Ogden and Woodland avenues with driving with a suspended/revoked license, operating an uninsured vehicle, and speeding. A resident reported that someone fraudulently used three of her credit cards to make purchases at 5:38 p.m. March 12 at Walgreen’s, 4700 Gilbert Avenue. Loss not reported.
