Swanson recently announced charges against a Flint man accused of using the app to groom underage girls before sexually assaulting them.Screen grab from Genesee County Sheriff’s Office press conferenceFLINT, MI – A Flint man used Snapchat to groom underage girls before sexually assaulting them, according to the Genesee County Sheriff.Bailey Michael Beckers, 23, is charged with 10 felonies and one misdemeanor after being accused of sexually assaulting multiple underage people and recording the assaults, Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson said Friday, May 27.The sheriff said in a news conference streamed live on Facebook that he wants anyone who may have information on Beckers to come forward, because he’s concerned there may be additional victims out there.“He’s not on the streets hurting anybody else, but I want to give everybody else an opportunity, if it happened, to get your rights, your justification,” Swanson said.Beckers’ attorney on one of the criminal complaints, Scott Norwood, said the case was brand new and had yet to review the police reports in the matter.
