Amed Rosario thanks Mets, fans on Instagram

3 hours ago The New York Mets are the only organization Amed Rosario has ever known, as he signed out of the Dominican Republic at age 16 and spent his entire eight-year career in the Mets’ system. Once the shortstop of the future and a consensus Top 10 prospect in baseball entering 2017, Rosario debuted that year, and hit .268 in 403 games from 2017-2020 in Queens. And now, he has to say goodbye, headed to Cleveland as part of the return for Carlos Carrasco and Francisco Lindor – and Rosario took to Instagram to thank New York for the love. “To the New York Mets organization, thank you for taking a chance with a 16 year old,” Rosario wrote. “To all Mets fans, you will always have a place in my heart, New York is truly amazing. I gave you my all each and every day I stepped in Citi Field.
